Went on a very crowded night and so maybe our not so satisfactory experience was not usual. It was very dark and crowded and very noisy. There was a wonderful range of food on offer at okay prices but when went to order was told only $20 pizzas were available. Other patrons noted this wasn't the case the night before. Not the place for a quiet conversation. Have a bar area, tables and benches for dining and a garden open air area out the back. I don't think I would return but I guess it's just not my kind of place.

A fun place to hang out after some serious uni has been done with. Great range to order from and conveniently located near the station.

This place is really nice in summer when you can fully enjoy the open area at the back. You don't see many places with fish-tanks in. I think it adds to the atmosphere.
Staff are nice and friendly.
They serve quite nice pizzas.

I recently went her for a friends farewell dinner party and i was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. There was a small area with sofa's which they sectioned off just for her gathering of friends and we virtually had a bar for ourselves,as well as the main bar . They had candles burning everywhere looked like they'd been burning for centuries which was nice. They had a very decent menu and a huge "bistro"area out the back where u can also watch a bit of football if that's your thing . Nice high tables. I was surpised to find such atmosphere and large social area inside of"just a pub".

great place have been many times with friends, loved it , good prices and the pizzas are a must. beers are fresh and wines are good

Something of a labyrinth, the Rose offers several bar areas to suit our mood and group, including an inside/outside beer garden. The pub food menu has a good range - the pizzas in particular are delicious. Good range of beers and wines available.
