Enjoyed a pizza and coffee here recently. This is a large cafe in a building which once upon a time was a cinema. Well spaced tables and a great menu. Also welcome to just have coffee etc which I have done previously. Good service which makes a pleasant experience

We celebrated a friends birthday at the Strand recently, such a great atmosphere, so welcoming and friendly. Our meals were of the highest quality, no reason to complain everything was perfect, all entrees, mains and desserts arrived in a timely manner. Never left waiting, very attentive staff. I can never say no to a mexican pizza as I love them, they do them particularly well at the Strand. Garlic pizza bread and soft shell crab was also enjoyed by all. A fabulous night out with friends, well looked after by staff.

Went here for a christmas get together with friends, it was the perfect choice. Great atmosphere and fresh quality well priced food. A few of us had the salt and pepper squid and mediterranean chicken. The New York and Mexican pizzas were enjoyed by all. Service was fantastic considering it was so busy, very polite and prompt.

They offer a huge menu including kids meals and the drinks menu is quite large and varied, also well priced.

Overall, a fabulous, fun night out with friends.

We had a light lunch here in this cafe/restaurant. Have also been other times, sometimes just for coffee. They have a main menu and a menu for wraps etc. This is what we ordered with the tasmanian salmon. Very nice. Friendly staff clean tables and good service. From memory I think this site was a Glenelg old style picture theatre many many years ago but it now is very modern.

Lovely place great food a little pricey but overall was good. Service was ok a little slow but taking into consideration that it was busy. I had a morrocan curry which was lovely. Smoothies was nice too! Would recommend this place to eat.

Fabulous fooood and fabulous service, that about covers it. I have been here many times and never been disappointed. I love the presentation of the food, their wood fired pizzas and calzones are very morish, the pizzas are a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. A must are their Bruschettas, something we always order as a starter. The dining area is quite large, so great for a big get together. You will find that the meals are a bit pricey, but you really will enjoy your meals and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend.

Great service. Good on a nice day like today to sit outside. Food was a little over priced i thought but it was very nice and its its on jetty road so its to be expected.

What a lovely establishment! The staff are very friendly and very attentive. The café is lovely and clean. I had a flat white and a lovely serving of raisin toast. Toast was served hot. I will definitely be dining here again, as there lunch menu looks very delicious.

This place is AWESOME!!! The staff are so friendly and relaxed which I think makes the food and presentation outstanding. We love going to the Strand and have continued to go their for over 10 years! I don't know anyone who has had a bad meal. My favourite meals would be the Mediterranean chicken salad and the Monte Silvano pasta, delicious!

I had the best brunch of my LIFE here the other day. I had the Vego Muffin, utterly superb. Went here on recommendation of a friend and will definitely be back. Super food and drink, friendly unobtrusive service and decent price. Breakfast menu is available until 11:30, which is ideal for late sleepers like me!

I have never had a bad meal here and I've been quiet a few times. I love sir pasta and the staff are friendly and accommodating, especially when it comes to the gluten free options which I appreciate. Overall, lovely!

Service here is always awesome; i wish other places provided the same level of attentiveness! Would be great to a vegan option in the cake/muffin cabinet, but otherwise it is always a pleasant visit.

Took the kids for a breakfast on Sunday morning. The place was packed and we were surprised to get a table. We got good food but it took a very long time to come out. Our kids were a bit over it by the time the food came and overall just was not enjoyed. I would come back just not with the kids and be prepared to wait a bit.

This place is always busy on the weekend has a huge menu covering pretty much everything you could want. The service is friendly and competent.

great service, really nice lunches. chicken focacia's are delicious. The atmosphere is great and they have delicious coffees. Service is really quick too.

I have visited this cafe many times with friends and find the venue rather variable. Some days the service is fast and friendly, other days it can take a little to long to get a drink.

Good selection of food and quality is generally good. The restaurant copes well with large bookings and seems to have a high turn over of customers which is always a good sign.

Overall the strand is probably one of the better cafes at glenelg but the service is a little hit and miss.

We tried their traditional wood oven pizza, Supreme Strand. The flavour was nicely blended with the delicious napoli sauce, cheese, ham, salami, mushrooms, capsicum, pineapple, olives and spanish onions. It's a good for value dine, and we surely will revisit again to try out a different menu.

Nice place to eat with a few friends. Can be a bit crowded at time.
Try their salmon if you have the chance.

We eat here alot - it is our chosen Glenelg cafe - reasonable food and good service. Good range though!

We eat at the Strand often. Great food, great service..the chicken salad is to die for whether you eat in or take it away..the quality is always perfect. I recommend the food to everyone. The Strand also appears in the entertainment book which gives you even more value for your money ...we will be back there again soon.

we went there for valentines day in 09. the food was real good. i got a spaghetti Mariana & it was the best one i have had. the food is good, nice layout in the store.

I have eaten at The Strand for many years and take interstate guests there often and they have always been impressed. I love their wood oven pizzas and the seafood is my favourite.

Even on change of chef a number of years back, their high standard did not falter.
