This place is awesome. The decor and the staff are quirky but so genuine and nice. Our kids were welcomed with smiles and good china picked especially for them (they serve on an eclectic mix of fine china including willow, noritaky, shelley etc just to name our china on the day). We had a small shared lunch anticipating the massive slab of cake you get for $13. The lunch was wonderfull, fresh and well presented and even with our preperations to leave room for the cake, the four of us could not finnish it (all the cake options also taste amazing by the way). My wife loved the hot chocolate and I had the licorice tea that came in a little house shaped teapot (again a nod to the 4 and 6 year olds eating with us). This is not a cheap place to eat (although if we had bought 4 small cake slices anywhere else it would likely cost more and lead to less cake. we will definately be back again and again.

Approximate cost: $30

West End experience in Redcliffe!
A toasty fire, beautiful decor, tasty food, outstanding service and delish desserts combined to make this place one to rave about. I've already mentioned it to several friends. Worth booking a table.

Went for a drive yesterday and happened upon this place in Scarborough we were gonna do lunch but then decided on coffee and cake because they were in their change over period between breakfast and lunch! Well what an experience the cake was absolutely massive (one would do two) the coffee was divine and the staff were so friendly, one staff member even showing us pictures of the high tea they did on Mother's Day on her phone! Will defiantly be going back soon! Not cheap but well worth it!

Wow you have to try The Sugar Deli at Scarborough. Fantastic decore from the moment you arrive. The quirky front entrance is just the beginning. We went for dinner and wow it was fantastic. Ribs were so tender, they just melted in my mouth (only down side was they wouldn't swap the coleslaw it comes with for anything else - such is life when you have food allergies and intolerances I guess). Three of us shared a Mocha Cake for dessert. It was more like a slab and tasted divine. Macaroons atop layers of sponge and some sort of cheesecake icing and blueberries and and and and and .. $12 for the slice and it would have easily fed 5 adults. We couldn't finish even half it. Highly recommend this place for the service, the food and the amazing ambience.
