The Tap Doctor was excellent. They called me and gave a quote on a Sunday and were there on the Monday morning. They stuck to the quote ($479) and completed repairs without any mess for me to clean.
I would definitely use them and recommend them again .

I stupidly made a service call for a tap that was not delivering hot water (the tap below the sink was not turned on!). Dr Mick arrived early, rang before he came, was courteous, and did not treat me like the complete Dill that I am. He charged me nothing. This kind of service is rare in this day and age and I'd recommend them without hesitation.

had a badly leaking kitchen tap and one in the bathroom, called another plumber who never rocked up or gave me a call to say he wasn't coming, called The Tap Doctor blown away by the service of the office girl, the guy turned up on time, did a great job, was very friendly and called me a week later to check everything was still OK, great service will use again and recommend all my mates

A simple plumbing job - installing a water filter to the cold hose in the kitchen - but plumber was lacking in confidence, poor communication skills and reluctant to do the job, citing a previous job which had gone wrong. After much consultation he completed the job without trouble BUT overcharged to an incredible extent - $249 for a job which should have cost around $120. AND he charged for an extra part which the filter supplier believes was supplied in the kit.

Learned my lesson, don't use the overpriced Tap Doctor ever again, but rather go with the local plumbers.

Approximate cost: $249

Replaced taps in bathroom basin and serviced taps and changed washers in shower and kitchen. My local Tap Doctor (I live in Mornington, Victoria) called when he was on his way, on time, friendly and explained what he had done. Even offered to take off his boots before entering my home and was willing to clean up after he had finished. Up front quote too, you don't pay if you don't proceed with the work. Highly recommend this service which I contacted after seeing good reviews on WOMOW.

This was the only plumber in the Canberra area I could find who advertised they can fix water pipe hammer. I rang, and a very helpful plumber (Mark Unwin) came out and did a thorough diagnosis of the problem including crawling under the kitchen floor to clip hot and cold pipes and adjusting the duo valve on the Hot Water Service. Problem fixed !!

We've had a leaking...something or other...under and beneath our bathroom vanity for a while and finally got the Tap Doctor out to look at it.

It turns out it's a hot water system seal, which is cheap (relief!) but must be done by an electrician. Our local Gold Coast Tap Doctor, Scott, only charged us $20 for this job, the price of petrol to get him to us, he said.

We are once again so impressed and pleased by Scott, our Tap Doctor.

We will use him every time we need a plumber. $20!!! (he was early too, not just on time!!)

Had a shower that was dripping constantly and driving me a bit nuts. The tap doctor was early for our appointment. Took great care and cleaned up after himself.

My toilet had been dripping for months. If it's not flushed every couple of hours, it was just drip...drip...drip...very annoying at night!!! Also, our tap was dripping as well.

I read about The Tap Doctor on WOMOW, and thought it sounded pretty good, so I sent in an email request form through their website. They called me the next day (even though it was a Sunday), and booked in a time despite the fact I'd specified a quite tiny window of availability (that coming Thursday between 2pm-4pm).

The plumber, Dr Scott, was FANTASTIC! He arrived right on time, was lovely and friendly, chatty without being too talkative or weird. Very warm and made the hour he was here doing a GREAT job very enjoyable.

He even cleaned around the bathroom vanity! He didn't have to do that!

I was also impressed with the cost. No call out fee, and the job was very reasonable.

I will DEFINITELY be contacting The Tap Doctor in future for ALL my plumbing needs.

Anyone in the Gold Coast area, you can rest assured this branch is as good as the Melbourne and other state branches. Also, ask for Dr Scott! He's the best!

Approximate cost: $220
