When we had our meeting with the intended carer (a very good idea) we requested and were told that we could receive 1 on 1 care for our puppy. This was vital and non-negotiable. Comes the day of drop off and we find another dog is staying for the entire duration. We were told there had been a mix up with the dates as a pathetic excuse! Not a way to run a business. With no other choice than to leave our pet there we worried about her the entire 2 weeks we were away. She was not the same puppy when we picked her up, This might have something to do with the fact that there was not 1, but 2 other dogs that were staying at the same place and I believe that this is why she was very stressed. We contacted Top Dog Minders Melbourne and they gave the very weak excuse that there had been a "Mix Up" in procedure that had lead to one of the extra dogs being there. We were also given a very sloppy apology. She assured me that they had a changed procedure in place so this will never occur again. She was shocked to find out that a third dog had stayed there, she had no clue! That goes nowhere to making up for forcing us to leave our beautiful puppy in a sub-standard situation. This is why I cannot recommend this service in any way.

I am the dog minder that look after the various type of gorgeous dogs that come to my place in Sydney. They really make the whole process very secured and pleasant. I got to meet the owner and the dog first so that i can see how we get along - benefits both owner and minder! I was given all the necessary food and toys etc. This is perfect arrangement as i get to take care of a dog for short period of time & sometimes get regular dogs coming back! Love this method!

I was able to take my dog to meet the proposed minder who happened to be in my area, and view the security and get the feel of the person. We were really happy to try this as I was not happy about the kennel environment for my spoiled pooch. I found the staff very helpful during the initial discussion and this seems to be a very well run business.
