I've called unilever a few times in the past few years about some products that haven't been up to quality. Sauces, tea and other products.

For me I have found the customer service department great, they listen and assist. They have sent me replacement vouchers to compensate for another item.

It's great I've have found them really helpful.

I have also had to deal with them regarding the quality of one of their products, I received a quick response and also reimbursement via gift cards. Which was great. I cannot say the same about Peters Ice-cream, it took them over 2 months after many calls from me. I was very unimpressed. Unilever are excellent with customer service!

I bought a box of 100 Lipton Green Tea bags, after brewing them for 20mins i see an oil like substance on top of the water which was normal so i sent a complaint email regarding this issue. I got a cal back from the consumer consultant straight away and helping me with the issue. I was asked to send back a few of my tea bags for quality assurance. I was sent out a $10 woolworths card to compensate for it and buy another box. All in All im very satisfied with the response i had and would still buy there products.

Poor customer service, follow up and resolution of issues is slow at times. Staff seem friendly and are wanting to assist you, but following up on an issue can take some time. Overall service was ok.
