Always reliable, very reasonably priced and on time and budget, had a few cars here over the years always seems to keep me on the road and often passes on great savings on major parts.
I've gone back to Vic 3 times with 3 different cars and the last one I brought to him was my girlfriend's. The first time I went to him I needed a roadworthy on my first car. He gave me so much information and told me so much about my car and how to easily, and cheaply, fix it up to roadworthy condition and he only charged the normal roadworthy rate. Next time I came to see him after fixing everything, because I was only there for 20 minutes while he checked back over the original issues, he only charged me 5 bucks and sent me on my way. He is VERY knowledgeable with a wide variety of cars (I've taken a holden, toyota and mazda to him) and he charges fair prices and it an absolute pleasure to deal with.
I've got a Volvo station wagon, and these cars are expensive to fix. All the European specialists seem to charge about a million dollars just to look at your car. my car started groaning and creaking every time i turned left, and i knew there was trouble afoot. I have tried the other mechanics in Ballarat and only Vic was able to fix my car after giving a very reasonable quote, and fit me in the next day due to a cancellation. it was a bit strange (but awesome) when he handed me a bill that was exactly the same as the quote, and my car is running perfectly.
Approximate cost: $330
