Seriously the worst meal I've eaten in Ballarat, would rather eat in at Macca's across the road. The steak was small, cold and half of it was a thick line of fat. The service was over the top. They act like we're in Smalltown, Texas and treat you like hicks. It might be fun for the kids but I wouldn't want my kids to think that normal people are like this. It's not over the top enough to be called acting, it's just people that have been told to act like something they have seen on TV. Worst. Steak. Ever.

I've been there a few times now, only because friends wanted to meet there. The coffee was OK but definitely nothing special. The place looks dull and dreary and the couches are old and dirty. The prices are something you'd expect in an upmarket cafe, but this place just doesn't look upmarket. Very commonplace actually.

Absolutely beautiful fish and chips here. The chips aren't the best I've had, but they are quite nice, not too soggy even after a car ride. The fish was amazing though. Best tasting fish I've had from a take away shop in a long time.

The quality and size of the food there is amazing. There are a lot of terrible, cheap noodle shops around that have made a bad name for places like this. The Noodle Box in Armstrong St has some of the best stir fry food I've ever tasted and the ordering method on the computer for "Build your own Box" is awesome. They make it so easy to create your own personalised meal and you hardly have to wait while you watch it be cooked by fantastic chefs infront of you.

Food was really good. I had a risotto that was cooked perfectly and I couldn't stop eating it after I started it just tasted so good. The only bad part was the coffee. I expect a lot from my coffee when I have to pay for it. This one tasted like they had filled it with water then added a little bit of milk like with a normal home made instant coffee. I expected a lot so I was more disappointed here than if I was receiving an instant coffee at a friend's house. Overall though, great meal, which is what I was really there for.

Working in the area we don't have a lot of choice. This place has great service is really nice food but it's a bit expensive, which I guess is expected with not much to offer competition. The food was really nice though so I would go back again.

Amazing cocktails. Haida is a great place to relax most of the time with plenty of seating and some nice music playing. The bar staff are great and every time I've been there I end up talking to an interesting stranger at the bar for half an hour about something random. The bar staff are actually really good, one guy was making some fantastic drinks and you could tell he had been in the business for a long time, and made a career out of great bartending and cocktail making.

I have always loved this place, the food is amazing and the service is the best, they are they nicest people in the world. They have just recently opened a new place, Tokyo Grill House Cuisine Shop, it's next to Golden City (Gee Cees) and where Rinaldo's used to be. I went there last week for lunch and it was amazing. There were a lot of customers so the food took a little bit longer to come out. But because we were waiting, no longer than 10 minutes had passed and they brought out free dim sims and sushi because our meal was going to take 5 minutes longer. Best server I have ever received. I think the menu is stretching their cooks skills/experience a bit far. The meals came out looking messy but you could tell how they were meant to look. The taste was average, but there was just too much variety in something that's meant to be a simple, nice tasting meal. I'd go back again because of the location however, there's not better place to sit and have a beer than out front or up on the balcony at the LVH.

Great value for money, and it's not usually full of morons. I've never actually seen a fight there which is awesome. I have seen a lot of different bands there, and sometimes they have surprise sessions which is great. It's a different crowd to most of the other pubs/clubs in town and a lot more mature most of the time.
