Not one of the better options in Docklands.
We should have known better, given how quiet this place was.
Given the size of this restaurant, you would expect some more waitstaff (there were 2)
Not that this was a problem, as the restaurant was practically empty.
The food was definitely a letdown - quality was lacking.
Sauces were thin and with split emulsions.
Food was more downtown run of the mill cafe quality - not enough care and somewhat rushed.

Approximate cost: $25

Hi Rosep1, given the sheer amount of respectable food establishments within the area, this place sounds disappointing. In relation to the sauces, there is no excuse for overtly â??thinâ?? or â??splitâ?? emulsions. Hopefully, management will be made aware of these issues and make the necessary changes. Regards, Reeces

A nice but rather out of the way location looking out over the docklands waterfront.
The restaurant is large and spacious, with a modern feel.
Food quality is a little lacking, not quite a 'restaurant' standard. Eg. the Thai Green Chicken Curry $23, came out on a medium sized plate/dish - it was a little watery, there was not a lot of chicken (about a teacup of chicken pieces)
Not particularly well staffed for such an expansive restaurant, but I can see why - since the restaurant is not even a quarter full (we went on a friday night).

Approximate cost: $26

Hi Anonymous Member, while the view sounds lovely, it is of little consequence if the food isnâ??t up to scratch. There is no excuse for a â??wateryâ?? curry, as they are one of the easiest dishes to create. Thanks for the heads-up! Regards, Reeces

Although this place is probably not known as a breakfast place, it is open for breakfast on the weekend. We went here for Sunday breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavour of the eggs and mushrooms we ordered. Exceptionally good. Coffee was OK too.

Approximate cost: $13

I wish I had read some reviews before going here a couple of weeks ago with my Herald Sun split the bill tokens. The service was poor. We had several people come up to us within a short time to ask for our order. I have been in the industry and was most disappointed. Serves were small but I am wondering whether our tokens had anything to do with that. Everyone in our group disliked the food:(

Hi Kris, thanks for sharing your experience. If the business in question had indeed decreased your portions due to the use of a â??tokenâ??, then this reflects poorly upon them. For the life of me, I cannot understand why businesses donâ??t go out of their way to make a new customer happy, as it will ultimately result in repeat business. Those businesses who choose to â??skimpâ?? on product and service with a new customer (or anyone else for that matter), ignorantly risk losing potential long-term customers, which is seriously shortsighted and not in anyoneâ??s best interests. Regards, Reeces

We had drinks outside (cocktails and coffee) in the sun. The waiter was incredibly polite but there was a very big language barrier. An order for a "mug of cappuccino" was delivered as a "mocha" and a request for a Southern Comfort with Coke in a tall glass arrived as a small. Cocktails were nothing special in their presentation given the usual high price for such a treat. Good location and an attractive venue, a real shame about the poor english. We didn't say anything as we believe he meant well, but of course it does effect the overall experience.

Also, we were refused an order for water (the non-paying kind) due to 'water restrictions' but informed there was water and glasses at the bar to help ourselves if we wished, which we did, which was inconvenient when you are at a paying restaurant sitting outside from the bar. Not cool in my books!

Hi Anonymous Member, such language barriers have the potential to cost businesses vast sums of money and it would be to their advantage to encourage (or in some cases even fund) English lessons for employees. One of my friends (who used to run a restaurant that specializing in â??traditionalâ?? Greek food), happily went out of his way to teach English to new staff members. Needless to say, his generosity and progressive approach has left its mark on many. As for refusing to provide tap water, the excuse given was inept and may have simply been an underhanded attempt to encourage patrons to purchase bottled water. Hopefully, the business will read your review and take your comments onboard. Regards, Reeces
