Every aspect of the Waldorf reflects a lack of investment for many years.

The room was very tired and the pool area was nothing short of an embarrassment. Rebadging a broken Sauna a Change Room doesn't make it so, there is a clear glass window on the door for a start. The showers don't function at all and on the day we were there the jacuzzi was also broken.

We had a fold out sofa bed that was impossible to sleep on and impossible to fold away leaving a bed size carbuncle in the middle of the lounge.

The bathroom in the room was clean but extremely out of date.

Suspect this is our last visit to the Waldorf.

Approximate cost: $360

Stayed there in the off season and it was affordable and our room was lovely. Clean and spacious no complaints. They serve an excellent breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very secure parking in a central location. Went to stay there recently however all booked out except for one room that was way out of our price range.

I don't find it very clean at times.. there are constantly plates left in the walkways, and for example these same plates can be sitting there for up to 3 days dirty this happens on a regular basis which i find odd as the cleaners even walk past it daily yet ignore it.

My extended family and I often go down to Canberra for Floriade, however this year, with an active toddler, we decided to skip the usual hotel in favour of a 2 bed apartment. We chose the Waldorf because it's close to Floriade and the CBD. THEY WERE FABULOUS! The apartment was beautifully presented, surprisingly spacious, and relatively easy to babyproof (with the assistance of a second portacot to block off the kitchen). Room service was pleasant, and the buffet continental breakfast that was included had great variety and was very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that, as the underground parking is on the small side and some of the apartments are privately owned (therefore permanently blocking off their parking space even if not currently occupied), it can be hard to get a park underneath the hotel (at which point you use the London Circuit car park across the road or their arrangements with the Crowne Plaza). Book on the hotel website for the best rates - range from 265 - 425 (full rate) for the 2 bed apartment.

Thanks, we're considering staying there later this year, nice to hear someone's had a good experience there.
