My husband & I enjoyed a dinner at Wattleseed Cafe Restaurant on our 6th year Anniversary & LOVED it!

We spent the day at Healesville Sanctuary during the afternoon & then made reservations here. We are so thankful we did! The servers were kind & attentive. And the food was tremendous!

The decor was cute with a few old fashioned nooks & crannies placed around the restaurant.

We shared a serving of "Bruchetta Bread" as our starter. And WOW! That was EXCELLENT!!! Then, my husband enjoyed his "Chicken Parma" that came with a side of chips & salad. I enjoyed the "Aged Eye Steak" & chose the smaller serving so that I could save room for dessert! It was cooked just right! I am so glad I did.. because I left very satisfied!

For dessert we shared the "butterscotch sauce, banana & ice-cream" two-stack of hot pancakes (which is really 4). It was mouth-watering! We loved it & really wish this place was located closer to Pakenham!

What a hidden treasure this was to find. Thank you Wattleseed for the incredible dining experience on our anniversary that will never be forgotten!

Approximate cost: $70.00 (drinks, starter, dinner & dessert for two)

Delicious meals and very friendly service. The only problem we had was with an under-cooked steak. Everything else was perfect.

Dropped in here for a coffee on a Sunday afternoon just before they closed. One of our group was a gluten-free person and was pleased to find that there was a nice selection of GF cakes available. We shared a Fig and Ginger one which was very tasty and a generous serve. The coffee was very good and the service excellent. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful despite it being the end of a long day and an obviously busy shift for them.

It might be right at the edge of the main strip of shops in Healesville, but there's no need to go further. Wattleseed is a fantastic quality restaurant with a delicious menu and a good atmosphere. It can get pretty busy at times, so you might want to book for dinner over weekends.

My favourite meal is the seafood hot pot. It's got a good selection of seafood and really warms you up around the winter months. To finish, the desserts are particularly indulgent and come in generous servings. Combine this with a creamy latte and you're on a true comfort food winner.

Gets my thumbs up!

Approximate cost: $15+

Wattleseed Cafe is decorated with an Australian theme which flows through to their menu, making use of traditional herbs and seeds to produce delightful sauces and seasonings to enhance the meal. The staff provide excellent service. The food is superbly prepared and presented. Highly recommended!

Modern Australian food prepared showcasing Yarra Valley produce. The decor is very rustic early Australian. I particularly liked the clothes line with the stockings, bloomers etc. The menu is excellent with an all-day breakfast etc.

Approximate cost: $14.50
