Excellent teachers and private pool which is perfect for kids to develop their swim skills.

My daughter is very happy with her swimming teacher Ms Tamara, she is very gentle and nice to young children.

When my daughter first started swimming at the age of three, she was very scared of floating and seemed very unsettled in the water. We loved WSS, the team are very caring for kids needs, and the classes are smaller and more tailored to the kids. We saw our son excel in his skills and confidence, 10/10 recommend! Thanks to Jo and the team who looked after us.

My daughter is 3 and previously she’s has been doing swimming lessons with another company. My daughter has anxiety with swimming and water and refused to get into the water without me until we brought her to westerfolds. She had her first lesson 2 weeks ago, which she had without me in the water with her and I could not be more impressed/excited/happy with the team at westerfolds and the efforts they went to ensure my daughter was comfortable and confident. Thank you for your patience with her and we look forward to more lessons with you guys!

Wonderful program. Kids always learning lots! Babies all the way to 12 year olds. Great way to build kids confidence around water.

My daughter is very conservative when it comes to swimming, after visiting a few local swimming centres we have decided to go to Westerfold as it's a smaller swimming centre and only runs swimming lessons. She has improved so much only after 2 terms of swimming. The instructor is extremely good, always reassuring and encouraging my daughter. Now she absolutely loves going to swimming.

If you as a mum want to feel confident that your kids are safe in the water come Summer-time AND capable of getting to safety if necessary whether that be paddling and/or swimming to the edge of the pool or to shallow water then try Westerfolds. Classes focus on the SKILLS young children need to progress through defined levels, it's not just water play 80% of the time like the mainstream swimming centers seem to do. Class sizes are small so there is more 1-1 attention, there are only a handful of lessons in the pool at any one time so your children are not overwhelmed and easily distracted (like my son) by others. Another big plus for us is the same swimming teachers have been there for the past 2 years which means my son doesn't have to keep starting at square 1 and building his trust with a different teacher every term so he is progressing much faster than he did at our old swim school.

Apart from this, as a mum to 3 energetic kids under 5- my favourite part is picking up a latte and a vegan treat from the beautiful cafe on the way in. Nothing better than sipping a hot latte in silence for half an hour whilst watching my boys swim.

This centre is not too big and not too small. It's perfect for the children. Clean premises and friendly staff. We have
been using the centre for past 8 yrs and wouldn't go elsewhere. Grab a coffee at the in house cafe. And the best swimmschool co-ordinator.

My 2 children has been going to Westerfolds for swimming classes for nearly 5 years now , we absolutely love it there, staff and teachers are excellent and very professional !! The viewing window option helps seperate parents and all viewers from the actual class so the children are more focused, while you get to watch them as well as have a friendly chat without distracting classes

My 3 kids have gone ahead in leaps & bounds since changing to Westerfolds swim school! The teachers are kind and caring and engage the kids beautifully. The facilities are good and the pool is always at a comfortable temperature.

My granddaughters had been to a few other swimming centres, none comes close to Westerfolds. The pool is always clean and bright, and its comfortable environment means kids can learn without any distractions. Instructors are learned, patient and dedicated. The reception team is always helpful and friendly. Class placement is constantly reviewed to reflect the progress of students. It is an excellent place for kids to learn swimming.

My family have been attending Westerfolds Sports Centre - Swim school for 7 years now. From the reception staff to the swimming teachers the experience is nothing but professional and positive. Added bonus of Power Plant Cafe now on site, with delicious smoothies and food. We are about to move Suburbs but will be travelling back to westfolds Sports centre to attend our regular swimming class. A true hidden gem in the suburbs!!

Westerfolds is the prefect swim school for kids. The class sizes are limited to a maximum of 4 so the swim teachers can focus on each child's strengths and weaknesses. They schedule safety week where the kids do different things like rescue each other, use life-jackets, get in a life-raft, call for "HELP", feel "seaweed' in the water, and swim with clothes on. They schedule an underwater photographer so now we have precious photos of our kids swimming underwater. The staff make the classes fun and group children with others that will help them flourish. My eldest daughter was terrified to start with, and is not confident with sports or in big or noisy environments. It didn't take long before she started thriving and was desperate to get into her bathers and get to class. Westerfolds seem to put a lot of focus on consistency in teaching staff, which is one less thing for kids without much confidence to worry about. I have 2 children, and I feel like the staff go out of their way to make sure the two swim classes are scheduled in a way that makes it easy for us. There are swim schools everywhere, but like anything it's the people that make your experience a good or a bad one. I cannot praise Westerfolds swim teachers and staff enough. I have no doubt it is a direct result of their efforts that my children are still doing and enjoying swimming.

This swim centre is fantastic! The reception staff were friendly and answered all my queries and explained all the policies of the centre. The classes are small with 4 children and the swim teachers are great at dealing with the children, giving them confidence through their patience...the snorkel and survival swim lessons are great and my son looks forward to going swimming every week... Thanks to Olivia and her dedicated staff for such a great service.

If you are looking for brilliant customer service & friendly staff Westerfolds is definitely for you. Olivia the owner/manager of the Centre is very dedicated & passionate about all that is offered at Westerfolds & the customer always comes first. My 3 year old attends the swim school & absolutely loves it! Her swim teacher is lovely & dedicated to bettering the children in the class. I'm also a client of Eden Day Spa & am always extremely happy with my treatments & find Rachael the owner/manager professional, flexible & friendly.

Westerfolds is an excellent swim school with excellent swim teachers dedicated to a small group of 4 kids at a time. The owner however is so unreasonably restrictive and rude especially when it comes to swapping classes (within the rules). It drives many parents there mad!

My boys and I have been attending lessons here for almost a year now and we are very satisfied. The pool is always clean and a nice temperature, the staff and teachers are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My boys have learnt so much already and love coming every week they are not scared of the water at all and are becoming more confident and stronger every lesson.

I have been bringing my kids to lessons at Westerfolds for a couple of years now and have always been impressed by the quality of the teaching as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff on reception.

My kids have excelled during their time there and we will definitely be continuing our lessons.

We have been going there since the beginning of this year and my girl loves it there. She has had 2 teachers so far and they are fantastic. Pool can be a bit small and I think more suited for pre-schoolers or up to grade 2. Changing room is adequate for 3-4 at a time and are clean. Front desk people are always helpful and polite.

Very small pool. Cramped change rooms. The admin staff are very rude when enquiring and when booking she was even more ruder. Felt very uncomfortable just being there. We were only there for one term as we had to pay up front! Didn't think they teach kids well. How ever my son did enjoy being in the water I now take him else where.

My kids have had lessons at Westerfolds since they were 3 years old, they are now 11 and 7. We have also had pool parties there for their birthdays. All of my experiences with this swim school have been pleasant. I am happy with the progress they have made with their lessons, and have no hesitation in reccommending this swim school to anyone. The pool parties were great, the staff were helpful there were no problems, my guests even booked parties after ours.

My two children had their first swimming lessons at Westerfolds and it was the most unpleasant experience. On their last day of term, they were treated to playing with the blow-up crocodile. As my children waited patiently in line for their turn other children to pushed in. I was expecting the instructors to correct this behaviour. Instead, it was ignored and when the lesson came to an end, those children got extra turns while my children were told that their lesson was over. My Son still in line asked for a last turn but was rudely turned away. I requested that they be given a last turn anyway and was dismissed by saying that the crocodile was already be deflated.

If you want to teach your children that this type of behaviour is OK then take them to westerfolds.

We will not be going back or recommending it to anyone.
