Well worth the drive and a great way to spend a day out with the family. Heaps to see and an opportunity to see things you can't see in the wild normally. Also has accommodation and a great campsite to stay for a family weekend away.

i have only been here once and was pleasantly surprised at how big the park was and the array of animals they have. I was expecting just a small park with a few different animals that had been rescued. I definitely didn't realise it was the largest wildlife park in Australia. Well i still didn't realise that when i first walked in, it wasn't till our tour guide told us. The amount of different animals was amazing. There was so many to see. There was devils, koalas, possums, wallabys, heaps of different birds, reptiles, deer, alpacas, bisons, donkeys, water buffalo just to name a few. there was so many i cant name them all. You can feed the kangaroos with the complimentary food you are given on arrival which is cool. But i think the best thing was being able to pat the koala. We spent 2 hours here but could have spent more time here if we didnt have other plans that day. The tour guide was really nice and very friendly. she really knew what she was talking about and you could tell she enjoyed her job immensely. There is cafe their where you can buy hot and cold food and plenty of seating. the staff in there were great and very patient when my daughter kept changing her mind on what she wanted. This park is vary family friendly and caters for all ages. It costs about $20 adult and $10 for children which i thought was an excellent price for the size of the park and the range of animals you get to see. I will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to tassie
