This place is always packed. It is a small busy restaurant with butchers paper on the wall displaying the ever changing specials. people bustle in and out and the line outside is always long. the food is fantastic and the price is affordable. I love the crispy chicken. But the house special is the BBC!

The service is courteous and not too slow, but the restaurant is a little crowded. The food was good, tasty, but not the best I've ever had. Don't buy the desserts - they are much worse than the other food. You always have to book here because the place gets crowded, perhaps because it is relatively cheap and many people love the food. That also means the service is a little off-hand rather than great.

Service is okay, however you may feel you'll be rushed out, the place can be very loud given the amount of people in such a small restaurant.

I ADORE this place! If you're expecting fancy seating and overly affable staff waiting on your every need, this place is not for you. It's a traffic jam of patrons scratching for the first seat they can get, in the claustrophobic strip of seating.

The staff are rushed, and for good reason. The meals is additively delicious, some of the best Chinese I have ever had. Some of the standouts are the BBC Special (broad bean, bean curd and chutney) Shallot pancakes, and the crispy duck. Nothing beautifully presented, just amazing food which will leave you full to the brim and taking home the leftovers.

This place is not to be missed.

This place has the best chinese food ever. Very hard to get a seat though, have to book in advance. A small place that is great for eating with family or friends. I don't recommend bringing in small children with prams as there is no room. They do cater till very late which is good if you are out and about in town and get hungry.

The place is pretty small (or intimate if you could call it). However, the food is EXCELLENT. Menu is small, but extensive enough to explore, with a mixture of local and interstate wines in the wine list. Definite must-try when you're in town! (If you haven't already)

Ying Chow is a mainstay amongst my friends and I. It's very popular and can be hard to get a booking occasionally, but it's worth it when you can. The food is quite delicious, especially their savory pancakes and fried duck, and they do a mean stir fried bean dish (it has a popular name but I can't think of it at the moment!). Service can be slow, prices are reasonable, food is good.

I felt very much like i was an annoyance on the night. I got a tiny serving of food, and rolled eyes when i asked for cutlery. Although the food was ok, the service was terrible.

Yingchow is a famous Chinese restaurant with good reputations among local people and other international travelers. Great foods, great prices but their service is a bit down. That's alright if you just want to enjoy foods.

Approximate cost: $15-20

There was quite a lot of MSG in the food although it was just average.. A mate and I came pretty thirsty after the meal..The service was alright but use a bit more initiative at times..
