While aimlessly wandering down Semaphore Road I walked past this place. Being 10 minutes to closing time (4 pm), I quickly popped inside to check out the menu. Ranging from Vietnamese Meat Rolls to Fresh Rolls, Salads, Cold Rolls and the common 'naughty' snacks (Dim Sims, Spring Rolls etc.) I was astonished by the amazing prices. The meat rolls were all less than $5, salads around the $6 mark and cold rolls (my lil' addiction) were 3 for $5 - bargain!!
A young girl popped from out the back and I made my usual cold roll order (cold rolls with prawns and veggies, minus the noodles).
Despite being so close to closing she was only to happy to make my fresh rolls.
The verdict: NYUMMMMMYY!! She packed them to the absolute maximum with veggies, not skimping on anything, including the prawns! She didn't even charge me extra!
I was most impressed with this little place. The only downside would be that they close at 4 pm - would love it if they stayed open for dinner.
If you're on a budget and need some Vietnamese bread roll goodness then this is the place to visit. Nyum nation sensation!
