I debated extensively about whether to grant one or two stars to this place, ultimately feeling generous and deciding on the latter. My sister and her partner went here for dinner to use up a Groupon voucher that was pending expiration. I thought I’d use the opportunity to get them to bring me back a take home meal that I could smash down in the comfort of my own home – the salmon and asparagus salad. After waiting a few patient hours for their return, I was utterly disappointed with the ‘meal’ they brought back. To call it a salad would be like calling a packet of flour a cake. The ‘salad' was composed of a few pieces of lettuce, a few strips of capsicum, two sprigs of asparagus, a few olives (which I had to pay extra for), and maybe three miniscule pieces of what I think was salmon. 22 bucks for what could, at best, be described a side salad. Insane! My sister reported that her schnitzel was drenched in oil, the pasta was as plain as the 90 mile straight and the ‘garlic bread' was no more than cheap buttered sliced bread. It’s safe to say I won’t be heading back anytime soon…or ever… assuming this place is still around if our experience is any indication of the quality. Next time I think I’ll just opt for a subway salad.

As a cold roll addict, I have tried these superb creations from most local areas. Gino's ranks up there with the best. Super tasty crispy filligs, plenty of veggies to add. They're tightly wrapped and there is no skimping on the meat. Very satisfied. A quick phone call order, with eftpos facilities ($10 minimum). Work colleagues absolutely love the bread rolls and can't fault the abundance of pork crackling. Big fan of this place, it's a must try!

To be honest, I was very reluctant to review this business here for one very selfish reason.... it is just TOO fantastic and I fear that if Adelaide finds out about it, I will have difficulties booking an appointment in the future :P It is so hard to find a genuine practitioner in any medical field these days but I have finally stumbled upon Adelaide's finest podiatrist. As an ultra marathon runner, I usually carry a host of 'niggles' and 'injuries'. After a chronic ankle issue, I decided that heading to a podiatrist was a good alternative to tearing my hiar out with frustration. I booked an appointment here (primarily because of the close location to me) and didn't expect much. Boy was I in for a surprise. My first appointment with Jack Miller was a breakthrough. He assessed my posture etc. and finally determined the underlying cause of my constant niggles - a leg length discrepancy. Jack took my temporary orthotics and being sympathetic to my running 'addiction', modified them overnight so I could run the following day. Since my first appointment, the improvement in my once chronic condition has been dramatic. With modified orthotics, dry needling and some massage, I am finally getting to the point of running almost pain free. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly beyond description. Nothing is a hassle and every effort is made to accommodate appointments etc. This is not the place to go if you wish to be treated like you are on a production line!
I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Definitely the place to go if you are seeking top quality podiatry care!

Since mum is a hard core Bailey's lover, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to introduce her to this store during our recent outing to west lakes shopping centre. A small little store, it is arranged according to categories of wines, oils, spirits and vinegars - with a HUGE variety, all ready to be sampled.
The tastes are intense and super unique (eg. fig vinegar, hazelnut liqueur and even white truffle oil).
However as with anything unique you gotta pay the big bucks for the tiniest little bit; a tiny 100 ml of the truffle oil costing almost $10. To add to the 'financial wound' you actually have to buy a bottle from the store to actually put the liquid into (again not cheap) that you can re-use. Not the place to go to if you're on a strict budget...unless you want to do a 'dodgy' and sample away without purchase...although I wouldn't recommend that!
An interesting place to go for something a bit 'gourmet' and unique

The layout of this cafe is pretty schmick with a nice 'wooden' artistic feel. As with most artistic things, they come with a price tag and the smoothies are no exception. I came here for a breakfast tea and was pretty impressed with the herbal chai tea blend they make. I love my tea with textured soy milk and it went splendidly with their chai blend. A nice addition was the shredded ginger pieces that gave it that extra 'oomph'. Similarly the rooibos tea was nyummy. The menu was pretty extensive and included some rich looking salads 'ready to go' as well as some more 'gourmet' ones to order. Definitely a place that would cater to all dietary preferences as long as you've got the dosh ;)

While aimlessly wandering down Semaphore Road I walked past this place. Being 10 minutes to closing time (4 pm), I quickly popped inside to check out the menu. Ranging from Vietnamese Meat Rolls to Fresh Rolls, Salads, Cold Rolls and the common 'naughty' snacks (Dim Sims, Spring Rolls etc.) I was astonished by the amazing prices. The meat rolls were all less than $5, salads around the $6 mark and cold rolls (my lil' addiction) were 3 for $5 - bargain!!
A young girl popped from out the back and I made my usual cold roll order (cold rolls with prawns and veggies, minus the noodles).
Despite being so close to closing she was only to happy to make my fresh rolls.
The verdict: NYUMMMMMYY!! She packed them to the absolute maximum with veggies, not skimping on anything, including the prawns! She didn't even charge me extra!
I was most impressed with this little place. The only downside would be that they close at 4 pm - would love it if they stayed open for dinner.
If you're on a budget and need some Vietnamese bread roll goodness then this is the place to visit. Nyum nation sensation!

Stopped by this place to pick up some cooked, peeled prawns (my latest addiction). I was keen on eating them on my way home in the car so I was hoping to get them quite thawed. The shop is quite a small setup however there is a vast range. Only one type of cooked prawn which was quite disappointing. Thought they would have large Australian cooked peeled prawns but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The price wasn't the best compared to supermarket prices and I can't say that the taste of the prawns was exceptional (about $35/kilo vs $25/kilo elsewhere). I asked if they could thaw out the prawns in some water for me but my request was declined. I thought I'd go a bit 'crazy' and asked to try a smoked squid. It was very clear that the girl serving me tried to pick out the most dried out, smallest squid piece available....or it seemed that way....
In any event, this place wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Then again, maybe I'm a bit to critical. I guess if I'm paying almost $10/kg more for my prawns I hope the quality matches the price. Sadly, this wasn't the case here. Don't think I'll be coming back for seconds....

Nyum nyum nyum,. Being a yogurt addict I love this place. Absolutely love the natural yogurt - sugarfree, tart and super satisfying. The possibilities of 'mix in's' is endless - I love the blueberry and raspberry blend. The customer service at this store is amazing - everyone is amazingly friendly, offering flavours to try and always happy to serve those hard to please customers like me. The only factor I would change is the price - but all in all for the gourmet quality I guess it's worth it. Big thumbs up!

Came here to grab a quick takeway. Essentially a sushi train concept with a funky take away order option. Simply use the tablet pc that they have to order whatever you want, when it comes package it then once you have all your items, head to the counter to pay. Service was super fast, staff were super friendly. I wasn't super hungry so went for the Edamame beans and some sashimi. Reasonably priced with a bonus 10% off any items takeway. Was very tasty. Quite happy overall. Recommend this place, worth a try!

Unfortunately my dining experience here was non-existent after getting a 'quote' for some cold rolls. Having finished a run to Semaphore I wandered through the street in search for some post-workout nutrition and came past this place. Now being a cold roll addict I HAD to try them from this place. I'm a huge prawn fan so I figured I'd concede defeat and pay the $6 for only 2 cold rolls. WELL, I asked for prawn ones only to be told that they only do chicken ones. So I asked if I could pay extra for a prawn one. I sure could, $1.60....PER ADDITIONAL PRAWN. So, to get 3 prawn per cold roll would mean I would be paying $7..80 PER COLD ROLL - what the....
I've been known to splurge on good food but I don't think I would sleep at night knowing I'd spent that much on a generic cold roll....
The girl I was served by clearly didn't recognise how ludicrous the situation was which left me with one option... to leave.
Hungry and disappointed, clearly cold rolls were not meant to be on the menu that day.
If you're on the menu for prawn cold rolls and you're not a big spender I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
