I was recently holidaying in Salamander Bay, had the biggest craving for fish & chips (Weird considering I don't normally eat fish) and did a google search came up with "Salt Mine", asked a few locals all raved about salt mine, boyz went and played golf then we went out to get fish & chips...& they were CLOSED! Opening hours 11-2 4.30-7. I have never seen a fish & chip shop close for 2 hours! Never got my fish & chips! :o(...Be back in September hopefully i get another craving for fish & chips!

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! This book is like my survival guide. I don't leave home without it. My mum buys us all one every year. I plan full holidays with it. (We buy interstate one if were heading that way) I use it if I'm out and about to find restaurant in the area were in. It's great! You only need to use it twice and you have your money back! Absolutely Recommended.... Make sure you buy it through a school or charity so they get some benefit!

We holiday at Nelson Bay quite often. We always eat breakfast or lunch here. We had some issues when the new owners took over with staff, surcharges and prices and I swore i would never go back. However the last 2 visits have been wonderful. Their prices have dropped $16 for a big breakfast on D'albora marina is not bad (We even got breaky on special one day for $12.90). I can get the paper or magazines and their open from 7am til midnight 7 days! (unless its a little quiet or winter!) Full convienience store and a huge range of imported sweets and top shelf sauces/marinades and the like (Maggie Beer-Doddle creek) Segafredo Coffee. Highly reccommended

The BEST Breakfast. Service is good but needs a little tweaking, wanted desssert but no one came to see if I wanted coffee and/or dessert, so I didn't get it! Beautiful Lunches....Checking out dinner tonight!
