I booked My Moovers for a simple 1 bedroom apartment Local move for Friday 18th December at 2pm. At 2.30pm I was advised via text that they were running 2+ hours late. I tried 10+ times to call the company unsuccessfully, until I turned off my caller ID. At 5.30pm with no sign of the removalists I called again (with no caller ID) and was offered at small token discount after promising that the removalists would arrive later that night. At 6.30pm I called again and was told that the removalists wouldn’t be coming that day. I rebooked for 7am. 2 inexperienced removalists were sent and they proceeded to take 7.5 hours to move my one bedroom apartment with a booked lift. My furniture was damaged and a pay dispute ensued when My Moovers failed to honour the discount they had offered the previous night. I was hung up on multiple times by the extremely rude and unprofessional ‘customer service’ team and was not allowed to talk to the manager despite multiple requests to do so. This company subcontracts out removalists (they do not hire their own) and has clearly has shoddy business practices. They are untrustworthy, poor communicators and unethical to say the least. Do not book this company.
