This cafe is awesome. It is the first (and last) place we visit when we get to Melbourne. There is no other place that has such beautiful cupcakes and ambience. I always take some home for my friends to try but most times I eat them before we get home.
We stayed in the old Post Office and it was fantastic. Compared to other accommodation in the middle of the country, this was luxury. The price was great and it event included continental breakfast. Will stay here again when we are travelling over the nullabor.
The Mount Barker Toy Library is a godsend for those of us who are new to the area and don't have a lot of toys for the little ones. My friends and I all get together and swap toys at the toy library. It is an inexpensive way for the kids to experience new toys.
We recently signed up to Ocean Broadband and we have had nothing but good service and good connection. Other people in our area did not speak that highly of them but we are very happy with them.
They make the best pizza in the southwest. Friday night is Pizza night and they never disappoint.
We went to Nicks when we were visiting family in QLD and had a great evening. The food was sensational (especially the caramel cake) and well priced and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely go there again when we are back in QLD.
Zoe is wonderful and is one of the few hairdressers that is not pretentious and over-the-top. She listens to what you want and I always love how she does my hair.
I recently visited Antonia's retreat and had a wonderful massage and discussion about what my body needs to work better. Antonia's retreat is very calming but also energising. I suggested to my husband to go have a massage there as well.
My son hates having his hair cut so it is always a nightmare when he is due for a haircut. Jackie at Goldilocks was so patient with him and even gave him a chocy for sitting in the chair until she had finished. He normally has a big tantrum before his haircut is finished so it was nice to see him get a proper haircut.
Approximate cost: $12.00
The ladies here are wonderful (especially Ana) and the fact that it is right next to The Galleria is very convenient. My son went here for 6 months as a lead up to going to Kindy and it was a great experience for him (and me).
