We ordered our daughter's dance shoes over the internet from this company and they were great. The shoes arrived quite quickly and were a great price. They advised how to measure her foot for a correct fit and they were spot on! We paid about half what the shoes were selling for in the shops and I will certainly use them next time we need dance gear.
There are so few really good delis on the Gold Coast but this one would stand out even if there were hundreds! Great service and loads of different foods to tempt you. They have lots of vegetarian food and you can buy bulk lots of spices there. They have ready to go foods as well as the raw ingredients to make your own. One of my favourite places to spend a nose tingling half hour.
Nicola is an amazing designer! She can help design the water garden of your dreams. Great with advice on what to put in and where, loads of experience with how things go together and her fairy garden designs have to be seen to be believed!! Yes, it may be a bit frivolous going to these lengths for a garden pond but, in this rush about wprld, it is SO nice to have somewhere you can just drift away in and Nicola can help you make it a reality.
We have had a few birthdays here and the kids all think that it is THE best place. The hostess takes really good care of the partiers (not that they need it - they simply go mad on all the attractions). They have their own room to eat in and they all get a go on the quad cars as well as using untold amounts of energy bouncing around on the jumping castle. They have a separate section for littlies so they don't get squished! The food is quite good too - some things are a bit overpriced but generally not too bad. A great way to while away an afternoon or have a party.
Approximate cost: $8-11yo about $11
Very nice food especially in the brunch category - yumm! Sometimes the service can be a bit slow but you sort of expect that from eateries, but well worth waiting for. Their coffee is quite a deal better than a lot of places, too. Very conveniently located in the Pines shopping centre and it is tucked away in a nice quiet corner away from all the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy your snack/meal in peace and quiet.
They have a fantastic range here, both individual beads, packs and strands. They do classes and the ladies are so on top of the latest jewelery fashion trends. They are full of helpful advice but they are just as happy for you to take your time and browse (my girls and I were in there for over an hour one day!)
They have an amazing array of toys and puzzles for all ages. Everything from little wing-up animals to 5000 piece jigsaws and really complex games . The staff are really helpful and give loads of advice when you are trying to buy for someone else.
So much fabric - so little time! This place is great. I get to the Burleigh store more often than the Nerang one but they are both chock full of material and all the bits and pieces you could ever need to create your own clothes and crafts. The women behind the counter are always so helpful and they know SO MUCH nd can answer almost any query about sewing.
They offer a huge range of classes (perhaps a little too many at times), but you can't fault the enthusiasm of the staff and the teachers. Some of the "student teachers" are a little short of experience with kids but in saying that, all the kids seem to love going. It is very handy being in the school grounds and there is plenty of street parking. They do two concerts a year with the major one at the end of the year (usually at the GC Arts Centre). Overall they are probably not as regimented as some of the other dance schools (this is a good thing for littlies) but sometimes they get a little unorganised.
Approximate cost: $per dance genre about $100 per term
Very friendly and knowledgeable in all areas. We used them for our conveyancing and my parents had their wills organised through them. Very helpful with details and very thorough.
