Monarch did not live up to their promises on their website, or the receptionist on the phone who took my deposit.

They tried to cancel my move a couple of hours before pickup. We were packed, we had no where to stay. After some insistence, they agreed to honour the booking. Turned up late, and did not pack our belongings as described on the website. Did not take an inventory. Did not wrap mattress or other important items. The removalists were rough. They even had a different name...Monarch was not on the truck. They said they were sub-contracted.

They arrived several days late. Giving reason that they had to move our belongings to another truck. On arrival, different removalist again. Again, subcontracted.

Items were smashed. Furniture broken. And a couple of boxes missing . We had a box not belonging to us. I advised Monarch and never heard of them. Inside that box were smashed champagne glasses. No identification was on that box, and my guess, those people have our missing boxes.

A bad experience. And a move made all the more stressful. I paid a full price for a removalist that I expected to be professional. Monarch is not professional. Avoid at all cost. Not worth the stress. Moving is a big event, and care and protection of our belongings is not something Monarch do.
