verified email - 24 Feb 2013

needed a carpet layer for a small job, i bedroom and after a few no shows i was put on to teddys by a friend and couldn't have been more satisfied.
he pulled the olf carpet and underlay up, removed all staples before laying the new carpet and underlay.
it fitted perfectly, the edges trimmed and all the old carpet and remnants removed, leaving the room as clean as new.
reasonably priced, this is a quality tradesman who guarantees his work and one i will use again if the need arises

Approximate cost: $140

THIS WAS A GREAT HOTEL IN IT'S TIME, CATERING FOR CELEBRITIES, INCLUDING AMERICAN PRESIDENTS, BUT FROM MY EXPERIENCE IT'S DAY HAS GONE AS NEWER, MODERN HOTELS POP UP IN CANBERRA.
I HAVE STAYED THERE BEFORE, MAINLY FOR CONVENIENCE AND THE LOW TARIFF, THIS VISIT $114 INCLUDING VENUE, BUT THIS TIME I REALISED THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS, in my mind.
THE ROOM I STAYED IN, 209, WAS SMALL, THE TV AN OLD ANALOGUE WITH POOR RECEPTION, THE TWO IN HOUSE MOVIE CHANNELS NOT BEING ABLE TO BE AXCESSED AT ALL.
PLUS THE FACT THE TV WAS POSITIONED SO YOU COULDN'T WATCH IT FROM THE BED, HAVING TO SIT IN THE ONE CHAIR OR ON THE FLOOR,
THE ROOM WAS SMALL AND OBVIOUSLY OUTDATED, BUT IT HAD A GOOD SIZED BATHROOM, WELL FITTED OUT WITH A GOOD SHOWER.
THE INCLUDED BREAKFAST COULDN'T BE FAULTED , A GOOD VARIETY WITH PLENTY TO CHOOSE FROM, WAY BETTER THAN THE NOVATEL IN THE CBD.
DINNER AT NIGHT COULDN'T BE RATED, AS THEUY HAVE THE RESTAURANT OPEN MID WEEK, BUT FOR SOME REASON SHUT IT AT THE WEEKENDS
THE BAR DOESN'T EXIST.
THE STAFF THOUGH COULDN'T BE FAULTED, ATTENTIVE, WELL PRESENTED AND ALWAYS THERE WHEN NEEDED.
A GOOD VALUE HOTEL FOR OVERNIGHT, BUT IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN CANBERRA FOR LONGER, I WOULD BE EXPLORING OTHER OPTIONS

Approximate cost: $114

took my computer to this repair shop with a sticking problem. they diagnosed a virus had infected my system and had comprimised my whole computer.
i had to leave it in the shop for a few days, and after picking it up had a computer just like new.
they saved most of my programs which i appreciated, and gave the insides of the computer a thorough look over and clean out while there. a little, costly, but it was little to pay to have my heartline back with me again
quality work

This review is for The Shellharbour Club, Shellharbour NSW

this would be one of the best presented club's i've visited, with a range of outlets and dining options to suit all tastes,
a spacious lounge with comfortable seating, and plenty of bar space.
dining you have a choice of the bistro, with$ $6 members lunches {$8 non members} featuring a wide choice and full plated meals, not the little dollop that you see in a lot of higher priced cafe's.
a noodle bar compliments the bistro, and there is a restaurant menu for those who want something extra.
also a coffee shoppe, with good coffee, sandwiches, cakes etc., give you another option if you just want a quick snack.
there didn't appear to to be a great range of nightime entertainment advertised on the day i visited, but i'm sure you are well catered for if that's what you look for in a club.
loved the experience so much i took a 3 year membership, even though i live an hour away

Approximate cost: $9 lunch and drink

this coffee shop is becoming ever more popular in engadine, with the barrista on duty serving up a great cup of coffee.
full flavoured and well presented, if you can grab a table it's well worth spending time over one of life's greatest pleasures.
serves a wide range of coffee's to take home, in either ground or the beans themselves, and have a top selection of cakes and goodies, which although not a large selection to choose from, will satisfy most appetites.
a welcome addition to engadine's choice of dining outlets

good to see a few of the old style local hardware businesses still going in these days of thegiant retailers.
only needed a couple of washers, but didn't know which to choose for the job, and it was great to speak to someone who knew what they were doing.
received expert advice and the washers purchased were exactly what i needed and did the job i wanted.
a fair choice to choose from, especially in timber and build ing lines, and the prices are reasonable in relation to others.
the best thing is old fashioned service and advice

lost a heel off my shoe while out and about in rockdale and needed a quick fix.
called in to g and g shoe repairs and in 15 minutes later with my shoes as good as new.
satisfied both with the quality of the job and the price paid.
a nice little business with a happy cobbler who knows what he's doing, and does it well

This review is for Kareela Chinese Restaurant, Kareela NSW

dropped in for dinner after friday night shopping and was pleasently surprised.
a nice decor, and friendly attentive staff was complimented by a varied menu with a lot of choices. tasted the sweet and sour pork and would have to put it up with the best i have tasted of this particular choice.
my partner had a chow meien, and whilst not as enthusiastic about the choice as i was, was still quite happy.
costwise average for a chinese restaurant, it makes for a nice casual meal that won't break the bank.
recommended and i will be going back

IT'S NOT OFTEN YOU GET SOMEONE TO GIVE A BANK THE THUMBS UP, AND WHILST NOT A FAN OF ANY BANK, THINKING THEY ARE BASICLY GREED MERCHANTS, I W OULD LIKE TO GIVE THE STAFF OF MY LOCAL ANZ BANK A BIG WRAP.
FRIENDLY, FAST AND EFFICIENT SERVICE IS PROVIDED, ALWAYS WITH A SMILE AND GOOD ADVICE.
A PLEASURE TO DO MY BANKING HERE
