had a meal and a few coldies in the bistro at the hibernian.
On my last visit a few years ago i had the most amazing meal i have eaten, but unfortunately a bit has changed and my mango salad wasn 't on the menu.
Unfortunate, but the meals they serve up in the remodelled dining area were all great value and none of the 4 of us dining could be heard tyo complain.
The menu, although of limited choice, was varied and the choices were interesting with a range of different meal choices.
The prices were fair, and the servings on the largish range, my scnitzel meal overhanging the plate and the vegies with it were fresh and crisp.
A bonus is the free drink voucher given out at some of the nearby accomodation choices to each guest.
Anice touch.
The front bar might seem a bit archaic, but it's clean with a good mixture of locals and visitors making for an interesting blaend.
There is a comfortable lounge area for those wanting a quiter drink.
Avery well presented hotel, clean with a good bistro, and an interesting night is ensured

a great 3 night stopover in a top quality motel, just up the road from the historic port area of echuca [ 400 yards ].
couldn't fault the motel, clean with all the things you need for a good nights stay.
big bathroom with a great shower, a 42'flat screen tv with foxtel channels, the bed comfortable and the general layout of the units very inviting.
breakfast can be ordered, and the servings are large and at a very reasonable price.
would thoroughly recommend

the cheapest motel in yass, and i know why.
this was a very disapointing stay, the rooms were damp and smelly, the furnishings ok, but the bathroom was very so so.
the bath was chipped, and you had to step into the bath for a shower, not good for older people.
but the worst feature was that nearly all the units were taken up by some form of miners, judging by the jeeps and other vehicles judging by the gear in the back.
these men partied until about 10.3op.m., wandering around drinking wine from the bottle, talking loudly and yelling to each other with more than the odd swear word .
unfortunately i had paid in advance from a booking agency and couldn't get my money back so was virtually trapped for the night.
my advice. there are nice motels in yass, obviously a liitle dearer. if you want to stay at the yass motel, don't pay in advance and check the number of jeeps and utes parked there before booking in

A QUICK VISIT TO MITTAGONG SAW ME COME HOME WITH A NEW PAIR OF HIKING BOOTS.
A GOOD WINDOW DISPLAY CAPTURED MY ATTENTION, THE BOOTS DISPLAYED CLEARLY, AND THE PRICES ALL TAGGED AND CLEARLY VISIBLE.
INSIDE I HAD A GOOD SELECTION TO CHOOSE FROM, AN ATTENTIVE STAFF LOOKING AFTER MY ENQUIRIES AND BRINGING A DIVERSE RANGE OF BOOTS TO CHOOSE FROM.
I CHOSE MY PAIR AT A PRICE COMPARABLE TO WHAT I WOULD PAY IN THE CITY, BUT THE EXPERIENCE WAS MUCH MORE RELAXING THAN IN THE HUSSLE AND BUSTLE OF BIG CITY MALL SHOPPING.
A WELL SATISFIED CUSTOMER AND ONLY TOO HAPPY TO RECCOMEND

Approximate cost: $140

DRIVING THROUGH MITTAGONG, FEELING TO URGE, SO STOPP4ED INTO THE CHELSEA BAKERY FOR A BIT OF A MEAT PIE HIT
WOW!
KNOWING THAT THE GOOD OLD AUSSIE MEAT PIE IS AN ENDANGERED SPECIES THESE DAYS, WITH A SOGGY MESS OF GRAVY BEEF SERVED UP IN MOST CASES, THIS WAS A PLEASENT SURPRISE.
YOU ENTER TO THE SMELL OF FRESH BAKED PIES GREETING YOU, AND HAVE A GOOD SELECTION OF PIES, CAKES, PASTRIES ETC., TO CHOOSE FROM
CHOSE A STEAK AND ONION, AND A STEAK AND MUSHROOM, AND BOTH WERE AS NEAR AS PERFECT AS YOU CAN GET.
FIRM, FLAKY PASTRY ENCASED A CENTRE OF STEAMING BEEFY CHUNKS THAT WERE A MOUTH WATERING DELIGHT.
AS GOOD AS ANY PIE I'VE HAD FOR A LONG TIME.
ALSO SELLING A GOOD RANGE OF CAKES, I'D RECOMMEND THE VANILLA SLICES, THAT HAVE A GOOD CENTRE ENCASED IN A FIRM TOP AND BOTTOM
A LITTLE COSTLY, BUT A LOT BETTER VALUE THAN SOME OF OF THE $2 SHOCKERS SOLD AS PIES IN SOME OF THE RECENTLY OPENED BAKERIES AROUND THE PLACE

WELL WORTH A STOP AND TRY.

Approximate cost: $4.50

HAD AN OLD WATCH THAT HADN'T BEEN GOING FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS, BUT BECAUSE OF THE SENTIMAL VALUE IT MEANS TO ME, I DECIDED TO SEE IF I COULD GET IT GOINBG AGAIN.
WAS VERY DOUBTFUL AS TO WHETHER THERE COULD BE ANYONE WHO COULD DO THE JOB, AND WAS PLEASENTLY SURPRISED WHEN SWISS SAID THEY COULD HAVE IT BACK AS GOOD AS NEW.
TRUE TO THEIR WORD, THE WATCH WAS GIVEN BACK RUNNING PERFECTLY, CLEANED INSIDE AND OUT, AND LOOKING LIKE NEW.
I NOW WEAR IT AS MY MAIN WATCH AND WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR ANY REPAIRS OF THIS TYPE.

This review is for Heathcote Inn, Heathcote NSW

a great night out at heathcote inn is guaranteed, with a great bistro providing a wide range of meals at reasonable prices.
i had the steak and prawn dish and it was one of the better meals i have tried in the past few months.
a wide selection of drinks, with a good range of beers on tap , served icy cold and with a full glass.
but the highlight of this venue is the weekend entertainment, great bands belting out tunes and giving a good crowd plenty to enthuse about .
my first visit in a couple of years , and it's amazing how the place has been spruced up, definitely for the better

i will return

what you'd expect from a modern hotel [casino],plenty of pokies, a typical hotel tab, which makes you look back on the old tab stand alone agencies with nostalgia and longing.
can i get excited after my first visit this year?

not really

the beer is still cold with a good choice of brews.
the bistro/restaurant is of fair quality with a wide3 choice from burgers to steaks, admittedly a little expensive for a basic pub meal.
not as crowded as it used to be with very little evidence of the drongo's and drunks that frequented this venue in previous years, with a pleasent crowd of regulars and plenty of seating and bar space.
the fab though is the biggest negative, very poor with no newspaper form guides pinned up and a late putting up of upcoming meeting sheets.
not my favourite sort of venue, but i believe on weekends they have some great bands playing

A QUICK DECISION TO INSTALL SOME NEW BLINDS IN ORDER TO SPRUCE UP THE HOUSE BEFORE A CHILD'S PARTY LED ME TO LUCAS BLINDS.
I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO SHOP AROUND SO THIS WASD MY FIRST AND ONLY CHOICE OF SUPPLIERS.
THE JOB THEY DID WAS QUITE SATISFACTORY, AND I HAD THE CHOICE OF MANY DIFFERENT BLIND AND CURTAIN DESIGNS AT VARIOUS PRICES.
I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT AND THE SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP PROVIDED.
I COULD HAVE GOT A BETTER PRICE IF I HAD SHOPPED AROUND, BUT TIME RESTRAINTS MEANT I HAD TO TAKE THE FIRST AVAILABLE SUPPLIER.
I DID, AND AM SATISFIED WITH WHAT I GOT

HAD TO CATER FOR A CHILD'S BIRTHDAY RECENTLY, AND ACTING ON A FRIEND'S RECOMENDATION, WENT ONLINE TO SEE WHAT THE PARTY WAREHOUSE HAD TO OFFER
THEY HAD EVERYTHING, FROM PAPER PLATES TO CHAIRS AND MADE THE ORGANISING OF THE PARTY SO MUCH EASIER.
THEIR PRICES ARE COMPARABLE, BUT THE SERVICE WAS WAY ABOVE AVERAGE, THE ADVICE GIVEN TESTIMONY TO THEIR YEARS OF EXPERTISE, AND THEY NOW HAVE ANOTHER RECOMENDATION ON THEIR RESUME.
