This place is amazing, but be prepared to book well in advance. For facials, you could be waiting up to months for a booking, as the salon is flat chat and very popular. A range of services are available here, including waxing, facials, makeup and massages.
There are particularly some fantastic facial/massage packages, but save your pennies to make sure that you get the best package possible.
The girls at Mo's salon are lovely and truly obliging. The prices are great, and they will always try to fit you in where possible. A range of services are available here, including piercing, facials and massages, waxing and nail artistry.
I went here once to get a haircut, and the value for money was great. As a UNSW student, I got my hair shampooed (with a scalp massage), style cut (some very nice layers), and dried (I had my hair put under a drier, and twirled to give a natural wavy effect. I had booked at appointment, and the hairdressers were running excessively late, which was a bit of a pain when needing to get back to uni, but if you have the time to wait, this place is extremely worthwhile. The girls there are lovely, and they serve you tea or coffee on a silver tray, and treat you like a princess/prince.

This liquor store has great prices and some really good gifts. Beers around the World Packs, rare liquor, and French bubbly makes it unique. There are some things that the Cellars don't have, but what it does makes up for it...great prices and lovely people!
The Chinese food here is really nice, no matter which dish you get. I recommend the Combination Chow Mein, Pork in Plum Sauce and Beef with Cashew Nuts. The people are lovely, the food is cooked fast and is very yummy.

This is more than a music store...when you first walk in, you are greeted with vintage style clothes and jewellery, cute nic-nacs and terrific gift ideas. In my opinion, the music comes second in my memory of this store. The owner is lovely, and has helped me pick out some gifts before (which the people have loved!) and I can never resist stopping in to have a look at the new things in store.
I went here about a month ago for lunch, and it was sooo good. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box and Pork Gyoza (Dumplings), and my boyfriend got the Smoked Salmon Sushi...both were excellent choices. The bento box had teriyaki chicken, steamed rice, a Japanese salad with pickled ginger and some dressing...they were all delicious. It also had octopus filled balls, which weren't so nice, but I was full with the rest anyway. The food was fresh, the decor stunning and I can't wait to go back again!

Groovy Tunes is a treasure trove of second-hand records (and some CDs, but who bothers with them when you have fantastic records?!). Everything you can imagine is here, included rare collectable records and sets...the people are lovely and you could spend hours in this place, so make time to go here.
This is Nut heaven. Everywhere you turn, you will be greeted with a variety of nuts such as chocolate hazelnuts, roasted cashews, and my favourite, vienna almonds. Make sure you bring lots of money, because you will want to spend lots in this store.

I was taken here as a present for a massage and facial, and it was simply heaven. The owners are welcoming and friendly. The facial room is peaceful with tranquil music and beautiful smelling aromatherapy oils. The massage room is spacious with vibrant colours and a calm atmosphere. Couple this all with very professional and obliging masseuse and aromatherapists, and you get a great experience (make sure you save your pennies though, as it is not cheap!)!
