stayed here while on a study trip. very quiet- not your usual budget accommodation. family friendly, the owners have young kids. rooms are clean and have fridges and working aircon -a necessity! pub just up the road, lodge is located about a 10 minute walk from cbd or 20 min walk to markets. right next to beautiful gardens.

landed at 0300- we hadnt booked the room for the first night but they let us stay anyway - in high season, too! front desk open 24 hours, night shift locked my laptop away til morning with no hassles. rooms are as expected, but cheap if you book early. lots of semi clad people in the pool- but, hey, that's backpackers - probably not the place to take nanna or the kids. the beer is cold are reasonably priced, pool is clean and staff helpful. great place to stay. wish i could post the pics.

very nervous having not been to dentist for a long time. staff talked me through the procedure and it didnt hurt (much!) happy for me to ask questions, good follow up- got a phone call the next day to see how i was after an extraction. reminder service alerts me when i am due for another visit.
limited menu, and vege's have a choice of 2 at the most, but the food was great. fresh tomato in the pasta with just enough pepper. friends ordered some kind of meaty pie which they loved. beer is cold and glasses are chilled. was a little worried due to location, but everyone was on their best behaviour and security presence deters idiots.
very obliging and gave me exactly what i wanted. my wedding day was 38 degrees and we were in a park, so the whole service needed cutting down at the last minute- judith did everything in 7 minutes! very personal service, happy to work with whatever we threw at her.

honest and personal, genuinely cares about her clients. a little left of the middle, and can be quite confronting, but will listen and explore anywhere you need to go. once extended my session due to a cancellation - with no extra charge. definitely not what i xpected- but a whole lot better.
pretty stock standard for a buffet style restaurant. some dishes are worth a mention- the banana slices are fantastic. great for what it is- a place to take the kids and meet the parents. not somewhere to go if you want to relax and chat with a partner. get in early because some dishes are not replenished when emptied.
food is great and made to order. used these guys for a catch up spot because of its location and variety. its a bit poky, but that just adds to hte ambience. very rarely full, but avoid if it is. it gets very loud.

the best spinach roll you will ever eat. made fresh, nice and crunchy with plenty of cheese. lots of fresh breads and good prices on yesterdays stock.
called in for a drink and became a local. last sunday of the month is open mic night- everybody singa and plays. food is great, takes a long time to get it, but its worth the wait.
