A great chill pub to hang out. A short walk from Monash, so perfect for a cheap pub meal and drink. Every time I've been, it's been quiet, and we had plenty of room to eat and play pool and relax. A great pub atmosphere.
This is such a lovely place in Hawthorn to go for dinner. The design is beautiful, with elegant wooded tables set up. I ate the garlic bread and a pizza, and I was very impressed. It all tasted delicious, and was a little bit gourmet. The mocktail I tried was also yummy. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area again! Service was very good.
Like most places in the area, Cheers is very busy Tuesdays, as well as the usual nights. It's a very large place, but I don't enjoy myself here. The crowd is very young, and even though I drove in, so was completely sober, I kept tripping over the hidden steps between rooms. Also, I hate having to pay to get in
An iconic place with great value! But as the other reviewer mentioned, you have to be a bit wary, some stuff is obviously low quality. Well worth a browse to see what you come up with!
It's impossible to miss Swan Bakery - you must have seen the massive sign! This place has been around for ages - I grew up in the area and we used to come here all the time, 15+ years ago. We still come by occasionally, and the bread is warm, freshly baked and inexpensive. The perfect bakery. Service is great too.
I've always been happy with Pentagon. I've bought my ipod mini, ipod video, ipod classic, and eventually macbook here since before there were any apple stores. The service is great, and they make pretty good deals for you, like free software with upgrades etc. Very happy
I was not too impressed with the service here. I hired some speakers for my 21st, and when making the booking and picking them up, we specified that we wanted to plug an ipod into something, and hire a mic to do speeches.
They did not mention that we needed an attachment to plug in the ipod, and we had to contact a cousin to use his own equipment to get it to work. Then, the mic didn't work at all, which ruined the speeches as no one could hear a thing. When we returned them, we explained the mic didn't work, they didn't believe us until they tried it, and then simply took the $50 or so off the price for the faulty mic. Did not even apologize.
Yeah, wouldn't recommend. Try somewhere more professional.
A nice place for a browse (lots of variety) so you're sure to find some thing odd or new. It's a really great haphazard looking place. I've also been in on Free Comic Book Day, and the staff got really in to it, costumes and all, which was so much fun.
I had a great time here. It was easy to find, and the service was amazing. I was here for a private function, so we had the upstairs area booked out. The food was delicious - seriously, those meat pies - and the location gorgeous. Decorated nicely, with a massive window.
I had a great time here! I've only been for a private function, but the service was amazing, very attentive, and the atmosphere great. Decorations were beautiful, and a nice mix of loungey type seats and empty space. And the finger food delicious
