This review is for Don't Panic It's Organic, Mount Eliza VIC

I shop in here for specifics, particularly their yoghurt, goat's cheese, spelt home-made pies and natural peanut butter. They also have a good selection of breads to choose from. Most other things you can source in other places at a cheaper price. The fruit & vegetables are pricey, so I source elsewhere, although the quality is great! I think their prices match the Mt Eliza postcode, but you really don't have to pay the price for shopping in a suburb, when there is s much competition out there. The staff are friendly, will have a chat, but will also leave you to browse in peace. There is definitely room for expansion of their product lines.

What a hidden treasure I discovered when I walked through the door of this book store. It's huge! Not what you expect from the street view. They have a comprehensive range of books and multiples of books in varied categories. The self-help/development section was one of the best, offering a large range of author's and bigger than most book stores I have seen. The children's book section is amazing, so much to choose from! The shop assistant was very friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. Number 1 book store in this area by far!

I've ordered fish & chips from here several times now, and each time have felt that the quality of the food was under par and very inconsistent. The last time was the nail in the coffin for me, when we got home to find our $6 piece of flake was in-eatable (it was hard and rubbery, indicating that it was had most likely been frozen first which is a fish & chip faux pas). The calamari was also that frozen rubbish, not the real deal. With this level of quality, the prices are unjust. I'll be looking for a new place in the future that delivers the hand cut and battered chips and potato cakes and has fresh seafood. Overpriced and under deliver!!! When we gave feedback to the manager about the unsatisfactory food, a minimal gesture was offered in apology. Considering it is a 10 minute drive to collect food to find when you get home, it's rubbish, your not very inclined to want to drive back to rectify. If it was my business, I would have delivered a second order with a token extra, but instead we were offered a voucher for our next order (which will remain unused) and left hungry wondering what we were going to eat.

This review is for Two Buoys, Dromana VIC

verified email - 23 Dec 2012

The first thing that I noticed about Two Buoys was the friendly and welcoming team. It was nice to feel valued as a customer and genuinely looked after. We ordered the big breakfast, which was huge, so takes a very hungry belly to get through it all. Overall, the breakfast menu offered something a little unique to most places. Prices were in the mid to high range (on par with surrounding cafes), but the quality matched it. The atmosphere is great... looking out over the water from the front decking was a nice way to spend the morning. Coffee was good and their tapas menu is large and varied. I will definitely be going back to try this sometime. The inside decor is modern with a really cool bar set up.

This review is for Sun & Mei Chinese & Thai Restaurant, Mornington VIC

I am very fussy about my choice in Chinese food, and only purchase it from a trusted business that delivers quality time and again... Sun & Mei is the place! Dine in or take-away, I can't go past it! The dine in experience is more of a diner type feel, so not your fancy linen service, but the food is the best here and that's why I am a loyal customer! Main dishes come with an array of mixed vegetables, not just onion and meat. The fried rice is exceptional, has that smoky wok flavour that other's can't match. Basically it's a Chinese restaurant set on delivering the best quality dishes without the skimping of ingredients that other restaurants tend to deliver to save costs. And the chicken is breast meat, so white flesh and succulent as opposed to the grey looking alternative. BYO Alcohol. I nice casual dinner spot with friends and family.

I love shopping here. The fresh fruit and vegetables are of exceptional quality. They have a great selection of gourmet food items... for cheese lovers, a wide and extensive range and they also have a butcher. You can get everything you need for a non-planned dinner in this one location. Prices and high and low, but the selection is wide, so it's really up to you what you want to spend. You pay for what you get, quality produce! Great gift ideas and those unusual gourmet treats that you don't see everywhere. Definitely worth a look! I love the barn feel, the team are friendly, plenty of parking... it's unique, creative and visually alluring...

Saturday night, full house! One way to gauge a quality restaurant... Dine in or take-away depending on your mood. We ordered a banquet, but be warned, you won't leave hungry... the food just keep coming out and the serves were on the larger side. Even the men at the table struggled to get through it. The quality of the food was superb and the waiter staff friendly and efficient. The hostess came out to greet and chat with us, which is always a lovely addition to the dining experience. Prices are what you would expect to pay, the banquet being awesome value for what you get. The decor is aging a little, due to popularity and demand, but it is still a fine dining experience. TIP: Ask for seating away from the front entrance as with people coming and going, you will experience that annoying draft. BYO Alcohol

This review is for Green Kids, Perth WA

I have been doing a lot of research around cloth nappies and came across Green Kids. I really enjoyed reading what they stand for and the customer reviews were great! I decided at that point to invest in a collection for my first born, due in February 2013. The products arrived promptly, offered superior quality, suffice to say, I am very pleased with my purchase and looking forward to testing them out. Compared to another brand I purchased, Green Kids have a much wider range, in an assortment of colours and quality bamboo inserts which wash up really well. TIP: The inserts take some time drying, so I would recommend washing early morning for efficiency. Based on the rave reviews, I'm confident I have made the right choice and will have the opportunity to test drive when baby arrives, to find the right working relationship.

This review is for Dromana Charcoal Chicken, Dromana VIC

This business consistently serves up quality charcoal chickens in a prompt and efficient manner. The staff are friendly and prices are what you would expect to pay at most charcoal chicken places. They have really nice baked potato's to add to the mix, along with a good selection of salads. This is my number one choice for roast chook.

This review is for Deck Burger Bar, Mornington VIC

OMG! This place is sensational. Freshly cooked burgers on their daily baked buns. Beef, chicken, veggie burgers or a daily breakfast until 11am (can't go past the egg & bacon roll $6.90). Kids options are also available. This is fast food at it's best! Fresh, healthy and exceptional quality ingredients. The team are friendly and attentive. Eating in is great, both inside or outside, undercover at their bench style seating. Take-away if your limited for time, the service is fast. The burgers are on the large size (they have a couple of mini options available), so you would want to be really hungry to order a side of chips (which are handmade, skins on with a selection of yummy sauces) or consider sharing with a friend. There is so much to choose from off the menu, that I will be trying something different every time.
