We went for a family weekend away and stayed at Emerald Surfers. It was very disappointing the rooms and hotel are a little outdated and could do with refurbishment. The people that were running the hotel at the front desk seemed very unorganized and always seemed to be very watchful over us when using the Hotel facilities which made us feel uncomfortable. The pool was nice and the landscaped lawns were well above average, lovely for the kids to play on. The BBQ area was nice and provides room for large groups. If you are looking for a close hotel to Surfers this is not the right Hotel for you as its quite a walk. For the standard of this Hotel and its location I feel the Hotel is overpriced.

We often visit this club when we are on holidays in Newcastle. Its very family friendly with a nice bistro that cooks a variety of meals which are all very affordable. There is also a cafe in the club for that coffee and cake fix or ice cream for the kids. This club is situated right on the water overlooking the Macquarie Lake with tables situated outside you can enjoy your lunch or a quiet drink. Great Bar facilities and Pokies with a Tab if you are interested in a punt. The club also has various shows and music acts that appear throughout the year so there is a variety for Everyone. This club is family friendly and very affordable one that I recommend.

I have used this chocolate shop on a number of occasions. If you are tired of sending your average bouquet of flowers or wanting to send that special someone something different I would go here. They make up individual chocolates and Bouquets to suit any occasion. I had a bouquet of chocolates made up for my wife when we had our first baby they were all individually designed in the form of baby items ie Bottle,bootee,Rattle etc. A lot of time and effort go into these chocolates as they are all handmade to perfection. They also can organize delivery for an extra fee. The people that I have sent these bouquets to have all been very impressed. The chocolates and Bouquets all range in price depending on how many ordered and the type of Bouquet requested. It is a nice change form the florist though. The staff here are friendly and were very accommodating to my needs especially helping me to make selection decisions.

We love this place! The food and the service is great. The meals are generous and delicious its also BYO. The restaurant is in a great location of West End in Brisbane. On the weekends they also have a DJ who plays traditional Greek music which adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. Its a great restaurant to take friends out to dinner especially if you want to impress. All of our friends who we have introduced to this Restaurant have been very happy. This restaurant is affordable and friendly and a favorite of mine. Make a booking ahead of time because they are a busy little Greek Taverna.

If you are looking to remove trees from your property on a budget then the guys at Topless Trees are the ones for the job. After many quotes to remove 3 large palm trees from our backyard these guys couldn't be beaten. Michael the owner is a bit of a character but easy to deal with. Affordable and the job gets done. We will use them again if need be.

Ashton and his team from Completely Plaster did an amazing rendering job on our two storey brick home. They transformed our outdated brick home to a modern looking home that we are now so proud of. Ashton is professional , efficient and a real pleasure to deal with. He was very competitive with his quote and promised that he would do the best job which they did! They showed up when they said they would and would always clean up after themselves. Ashton and his team would always keep us up to date with the progress of the job daily which was very reassuring. Definitely one of the best tradesman that I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend this business to do your next rendering job. Do yourself a favor and give them a call you wont be disappointed.

We had two double power operated garage doors installed by Smooth Operator Doors. This company did such a great job they were efficient, affordable and very easy to do business with. I recommend this business to anyone who is thinking about getting electric garage doors because they did an excellent job. After sales they also said if there were any issues just to call his personal mobile. The doors operate quietly and look great many people have commented on them. I know we made the right decision hiring this company.

The cupcake parlour has the best cupcakes in town. The store has over 50 flavours of cupcakes to choose from so variety is never an issue. The service is always so friendly and you can tell that the staff are passionate about what they do with the standard of these cupcakes. The cupcakes are delicious and very affordable. I sometimes pick up cupcakes instead of the average birthday cake. You can also order personalised cupcakes for any occasion. I ordered cupcakes for the birth of our son 'Its A Boy" labelled on each cake nicely decorated to perfection. For something differnet I recommend the Cupcake parlour in West End and now in Bulimba. Peppers, Broadbeach I love this Hotel! Its one of my favourite Hotels on the GC. The rooms are very modern and Spacious. The team at peppers are very friendly and Helpful it makes the difference especially when on holidays with a family. The Staff have always offered their assistance even without being asked. The Hotel is local to Shops , restaurants and one of the biggest parks around and walking distance to the beach. This hotel has all the mod cons and even has it own private cinema that you can book out for free. Trust me its a hit with the kids and the adults ofcourse. If you are looking to get away from the Surfers Paradise area then Peppers Broadbeach is the place to stay. Yes it is more expensive than your average Hotel but this is far from Average. Helpfull hint check out the online hotel websites sometimes they have good deals for Peppers Broadbeach. I recommend this Hotel to all of our family and friends.

My family and some close friends stayed at RACV Noosa for 3 nights in a 3 bedroom spacious Apartment. The resort apartments are well above standard and there are different apartment configurations to suit all types eg. upstairs/downstairs Spa suites/Lookout suites with a view of Hinterland etc. The resort is close to the Noosa Hub, cafes, Restaurants, RSL Surf club and shops. The resort also provides a free shuttle to the Town district if you dont want to drive yourself. There are two things I think the resort should have and that is a BBQ area and maybe a little playround for Kids. Currently you have to pay a fee to book a BBQ- & Not always available. I mentioned to a staff member about a playground and they said that there were plans to build one but not sure when. Other than that It was a great spot to stay. oh and the pool area was pretty good especially for Kids as it has a sandy shore so they can take their buckets and spades with them and then go for a dip.
