We signed up for cable broadband. Received the modem after one week and tried activating but could not do so because according to their system, we did not receive our modem as yet. The frustrating part about this experience was that their call centre agents did not know what the issue was and transferred me from one department to another. It wasn't until I called up the second time did they accept that it was a fault on their end and escalated the matter. They also informed me that I would receive a phone call from their team, yet that never happened.

The sad part about this experience is that it appears they knew about this issue for at least a couple of months (just google Bigpond cable issue), and yet their agents were unaware and their fix took about 2 weeks to work.

On a positive note, once up and running, their speeds are quicker than adsl 2 so no complaints there.

We purchased two rugs on two different ocassions and were greeted each time by friendly staff. This particular store is huge and their variety is extensive and cheaper compared to other dedicated rug/carpet stores in the area. You could spend an hour browsing through their collection and the great thing is, if you're not happy, bring it back and swap it for another one.

I've been there a number of times. Quality and selection of fish and hardware is amongst the best I've seen in Melbourne. Their tropical tanks are relatively large and the fish appear healthy. We bought a few clown loaches yesterday and the young bloke was very friendly. I can't comment on their knowledge because I normally do my research before making a purchase.

We used this company for the purchase of a property. They kept in regular contact and we were happy that the transaction was conducted smoothly.

I would stress to others considering using this company is to ask them to fully disclose their fees in their quote. In our case the additional fees (of which two would be applicable to many buyers) were only disclosed to us after we agreed to use their service. I was not impressed by this business practice, but it was too late to back out because they had already invoiced us for sevices provided to-date, i.e.reviewing our contract.

Another thing to note, make sure you give them a fixed line phone number, because in our case, despite communicating back and forth via email, they found a reason to call me on my mobile and charged an additional $20 for the brief call.

The additional cost is not a big deal given the purchase price of a property but I have found another company that is more transparent with their fees upfront that we will use for our next purchase.
