I used to go here for coffee sometimes, but it has shut down. Takeaway pizzas were good too. all their stuff is still inside so they may reopen. Location not too good on a main road, but close to park.

This review is for Pain In The Domain, Sydney NSW

30minutes of running in the Domain. Every Tuesday at 12:50pm. Starts just near the corner of Hospital Road and Cahill Expressway. Free! There are about 5 groups so you can choose your running speed and level of pain! Great way to get some exercise at lunch time. They do about 14 sprints and there is a bit of time to catch your breath inbetween.

This review is for MCM Studio, Sydney NSW

I like the men's shirts at MCM studio - they are a bit on the expensive side normally, but they have a sale every six months or so where you can get a great short for about $100 - most of their shirts don't have a pocket and have french cuffs. I only own about 7 shirts and all of them except one are from MCM!

We want there late one night (about 2am) when everything else seemed to be shut and it was pretty full (but not so full that there was a queue) and there was dancing to some funky electonic music and a guy live on the drums. Shuts about 3pm. Would also be a great place for a drink when it is quieter.

This review is for Cruising Yacht Club (CYC), Darling Point NSW

verified email - 21 Nov 2007

I don't sail, but CYC is a great place to go for a drink and watch the sunset. It is right on the water in Rushcutters Bay and it is usually not too crowded. It is a club so you need to live over 5km away or be a member to get in. The food is not that flash but is also not that expensive. You go there for the setting anyway not the food.

This review is for Chinika Hair Salon, Sydney NSW

verified email - 18 Nov 2007

Nobuko does a great haircut for guys and is very entertaining to talk to, but her business is under a cloud at the moment - see below for part of an article from the Australian:

ONE of Sydney's most genteel apartment blocks has become engulfed in a bitter dispute involving a multi-millionaire's plans to renovate a heritage-listed apartment and the closure of a much-loved hairdressing salon.

A battle has flared between some residents of The Astor -- an exclusive CBD apartment block on Macquarie Street where units fetch millions of dollars -- and members of its board over plans by Wizard Home Loans boss Mark Bouris to build a sauna and gymnasium in a leased basement apartment.

The development -- which chairman of The Astor board Lincoln Gray said was vital for improved security -- would involve moving the salon, which has been in the building's basement for 74 years.

The decision to move Nobuko Hasegawa's Chinika Hair Salon out of the basement has prompted one of its most regular customers, the former NSW chief justice Laurence Street, to lament its loss.

The pool is a fenced off area of Syndey harbour. It is a great old pool with heaps of character and a great park behind it so it is very green and leafy and relaxing. Most people down there seem pretty relaxed and friendly as well.

This review is for Zushi, Darlinghurst NSW

Really good sushi place. Last winter they had half price sushi between 6 and 7pm which made it a bargain. Food is excellent. They can get busy though and once they forgot to bring my food out, but they apologised, so it was all ok!

This review is for Hugos Bar Pizza, Potts Point NSW

Went for dinner there last night. It was better than I thought it would be. Pizzas were about $22 each and we shared three between four which was just right. Service was great and so were the pizzas. Lots of trendy people there.

This review is for Woollahra Auto Repairs, Woollahra NSW

I thought this place would be quite expensive since it is in a flash suburb in Sydney but the price for a clutch repair and service was less than what I expected - I think it was about $600 - great communication and the car still goes well six months later!
