Our 2 dogs have been going there for years. John is always a delight to deal with - treats the dogs as we do (ie people!). He seems to be up on the latest research / thinking about different topics and has a great approach to dealing with any problems. As one of our dogs is now getting quite old, I'm really glad we've got a great vet to rely on.
This is the best Thai food in the area - I know, because I've tried them all! Great place to go for a couple or small group. The food is divine - especially the curries and coconut rice. Also the pad thai is fantastic! The service is usually pretty good but it can get very crowded at times (recommend booking).
Approximate cost: $15
I visited this place on the weekend and the other raters are all right - it's excellent. They were serving a buffet so you just grab a plate and help yourself to a fairly limited selection of rice, pasta, and vegetarian sauces (inc dahl baht). It looked very basic but was delicious - on a cold day, it was exactly what we were after. Then, you just pay whatever you think its worth. You know any profits go to a good cause so you feel good about paying too.
A great pub with a really good vibe. We were invited here on the weekend to celebrate our friends' recent engagement. The place was happening - but not overcrowded, and you could still talk to each other comfortably. I really enjoyed being here - it's definitely a place you can chill out over a drink with friends.
A good friend held her daughter's first birthday party here on the weekend. We went along and it seemed like the ideal place to have it. It's actually a kindergarten centre so there's outdoor equipment and play areas, plus inside there's everything you need - tiny tables, chairs, a small kitchen, etc. My friend was able to bring the food and a pie warmer and it was the perfect first birthday party. Especially great because the time is contained and there's no mess when you get home.
