Since coming across Alex of Sulex Electrics, we won't use anyone else. He is amazing! He knows his stuff, he is honest, he is reliable (very important given so many tradies just don't bother to turn up!) and his pricing very fair.
On top of everything else, he is a lovely young chap - what more could you ask for!?

We had ducted heating installed by Air Plus Pty Ltd. While the system works alright (with the exception of being too complicated to program, and we're both fully qualified scientists!), we are very disappointed with the service provided. There were four main problems. The installer: 1) didn't ask where we wanted the control panel mounted, and as such it is now located in the middle of our hallway wall in an awkward and unsightly position; 2) cut right through a large beam under the house to install a vent after he'd accidentally cut a hole in the floor of our dining room without checking the location's suitability for a vent; 3) didn't run the remaining vent to our bathroom as we'd asked him to (we said to just leave this one under the bathroom floor because we needed to renovate the bathroom, but have now discovered that he didn't even run the ducting to this location); 4) wasn't terribly friendly.
Overall, based on our own experience, we wouldn't personally recommend that anyone go through this lot for heating and/or cooling.

We booked in here because of the great facilities promised by many booking sites. It was marketed as having 'romantic cottages' and 'deluxe rooms'. As such, my partner and I booked in to stay there over New Years 2008. It was the worst place we'd ever stayed and very far from romantic! The photos on the various booking sites make it look wonderful. When we turned up, it had tacky old decorations hanging on the 'balcony', such as old CDs strung up from the ceiling!
When we got inside, the room seemed nice (after we removed the huntsman), but we soon discovered that this 'so called' deluxe room did not have an air conditioner (contrary to advertising), and it was only a few degrees less inside than the 34oC or so that it was outside! There was also a corner spa in the room that was decommissioned with a sign posted on it!
We expressed our dissatisfaction, but all they could offer was for us to pay $200 extra to stay in one of their better rooms! We should have booked a cabin or caravan elsewhere, as we would've been more comfortable! Not impressed at all!

Approximate cost: $About $150 or so
