The sushi and sashimi were both delicious, especially the tuna. Everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for a nice chat over dinner. The meal cost us $40 for both of us and we were incredibly full. The only thing I would say against it is that it took a while for the food to come out, however, the quality quickly made up for this.
The service is cheerful and friendly, but lacking professionalism. If you want a waitress, you best holler for one or grab one, as they are a little understaffed, and you can easily be forgotten about. The Sashimi was fresh, with the Kingfish and Salmon very nice, but the Tuna was of low quality.
there wasn't a great atmosphere and I didn't feel I wanted to stay and linger over my food. We shared the Gyoza to start and Edamame. The gyoza were unusually flat and mainly casing with little filling which was disappointing (especially as they are one of my favourite dishes).
Awful service. Staff are more interested talking amongst each other. Food was lousy and staff forgot 2 of our dishes. Only good thing about this place is the prices, very cheap. Shame that I will not be returning.
Onto the food, overall I would say the food is OK. Agedashi tofu was lovely, and the tempura good too. Chicken teriyaki was also nice, but the sushi that came with it was not impressive. Tinned tuna sushi roll is not my cup of tea. My husband had the hot pot and he said it was nice
Very Good! Price, Service, & of course, Taste! All satisfied! Well done. I enjoyed eating at this shop overall and would definitely come back. There is a great range to choose from and I'm very happy with my experience here
Was there couple of times, food is good with great value and I enjoyed eating here. Just ambience and service need little improvement. Will come back again.
I've been here a few times and the food is OK, neither good, nor bad. The courtyard gives it a nice, airy feeling and the staff is not particularly attentive but it never caused any problems. The most hilarious thing here is the background music. Does one expect to hear evangelical christian music playing in a traditional Japanese restaurant? It's funny and disturbing at the same time.
My first visit and second visit were fantastic! great value for money, ambience marked down because I am not a big fan of Dee Why beach eating (however, this is now changing and I am starting to like going down to Dee Why for a feed).
Been a regular for a long time at Ju Ju since they were at Bondi junction. Highly recommend the Sukiyaki and Shabu shabu but I dont know what has happened to the tasty dim sims you used to get in your Shabu Shabu. Hope they bring it back.
