Love the coffee here... and the staff are always friendly and helpful. This is my coffee stop on a busy work day

My family and I went to this restaurant on a Sunday evening for an affordable enjoyable meal. As regular customers of the franchise we thought we knew what to expect, but when my pineapple pizza came out without cheese on it I was disappointed. I asked the waitress if it could go back to the kitchen to have cheese put on it as that's what pizzas have. The waitress returned minus pizza and told me that the manager said I could have cheese on top of my pizza but I would have to pay for an "extra". I don't care about paying 80c or whatever it is if I ask for an extra, but since when has cheese on top of a pizza been an extra. When I approached the manager she tried to explain that it was a franchise condition and her hands were tied, but I found her explanation lacking in sincerity and her attitude towards a paying customer appalling.

After recently moving to Ballarat my partner and I have begun a journey around town, trying different restaurants. We arrived at the Steakhouse as the kitchen was getting ready to close, but after checking with the chef we were told we were welcome to grab a table. The table service was excellent. The wait staff were "there" without being in your face. After thoroughly enjoying our steaks and wine I sent a compliment to the chef via a waiter, who came back to say the chef would be with us in a couple of minutes. Katie came out and sat at our table and chatted with us about the restaurant, life before the restaurant, our backgrounds in hospitality, our motobikes... it was like talking to a friend and we had only just met. We will definately be back.
