We have been a client of Exquisite Cleaners (Susan and Rodney) for almost 2.5 years – until today that is. Throughout this time they have reasonably thorough with their cleaning, but definitely not careful and have broken and damage several items in our house, which is why I am submitting this review. In the course of 2.5 years with us they broke a wooden child's chair, sentimental ornament, picture frame, glass coffee table, sprayed a vintage 1950 teak sideboard with window cleaner which has discoloured the wood and most recently chipped a very expensive Marri hardwood table. Throughout all these incidents both my husband and I have been more than fair and reasonable- accidents happen- and only on 2 of these 5 occasions have we asked Susan and Rodney to cover the cost of the repair. When I initially called Susan to tell her about the latest table incident, Susan apologised, she told me to get some quotes and agreed to pay to have it fixed. Less than an hour later however, she called me back to tell me that after speaking to Rodney they wouldn't be paying for the repairs to the table because the damage wasn't reported within 48 hours of the event and we didn't actually see them or their staff damage the table. We had no proof! This is despite the fact that the handle on their steel bucket matched the chipped piece of the table exactly and when I pointed this out to one of their staff she agreed with me and noted that it was obvious the bucket had done the damage as it fitted into the groove and chip exactly. The $100.00 free clean Susan gave me today only goes part of the way to cover the $700 cost of the repair. Rather than accept any responsibility Susan simply said they won't be cleaning for us anymore and would return the keys. After 2.5 years of doing a weekly service this is how it ended. I usually don't post reviews but in their circumstance I felt it important to share my experience so that others might heed the warning if they have items in their house they value which they don't want damaged.
