Took my two year old for a haircut and will never go back!! The haircut was average but hairdresser was monumentally unfriendly - the sort of person who tries not to smile. I am amazed she has any customers at all with her attitude. Don't waste your time or money.

The breakfast menu is the most extensive I have ever seen - you could eat here for months and have something different each time. The staff are incredibly friendly though very busy given the high numbers of customers at the weekend. The food certainly isn't fine dining but it's good value for money and the variety keeps things interesting. I wouldn't recommend for lunch but it is a good option for breakfast. Free bottled water, lots of highchairs and some lovely flowers for sale on your way out all help to make it a pleasant dining experience. Children and dogs are made very welcome!

I have eaten breakfast at Vagelis several times, lured by the "best breakfast in Brisbane" tag and while the food is good, the service is absolutely appalling. Waiting times after ordering are ridiculous, the staff are bordering on the downright rude and the last time we went there they forgot our order! I cannot understand the ratings this place gets, no breakfast is worth the terrible service.

The breakfast menu at Duo is great - real variety and good value for money. Free range eggs are a welcome addition. The staff are really friendly and the wait times for food are reasonable. My only complaint would be that the coffee, although a great flavour, is served too hot. I have yet to experience it personally but have heard great things about the French-Vietnamese meals served in the evening - looking forward to checking it out soon.

I love this place! Grill'd burgers are delicious and fairly healthy too. We mostly use the takeaway option and the orders are always correct and ready in 10 minutes. A little bit pricey maybe if you are buying for the whole family but other than that no complaints!

Great hairdresser - appointments are easy to come by although the salon is always pretty busy and the quality of cut, colour and blow dry is always great. Organic products mean you are doing the best for your hair and the environment and friendly, competent staff mean you are in safe hands. A variety of teas are offered on arrival which is a nice touch. I recently took my hairdresser-averse toddler in for a cut and the staff were great with her, putting her at ease and making the whole experience almost pleasant (almost!)

Jam is a great café - customers are always given a warm welcome by the staff who also make sure children feel welcome too - colouring pages and pencils are brought over as soon as you sit down to keep the small ones entertained. The menu isn't huge but varied enough to provide at least a couple of choices and is well-priced - the veggie stack and steak sandwich are my recommendations. The recent expansion is a great addition and gives the place a modern, cosmopolitan feel though you may still wait for a table on Saturday mornings.
