We hadn't been to Slices for many years, so we took our two kids (2yo & 4yo). We did not have a very good experience that Sunday evening unfortunately. The pizza was undercooked (raw onions, mushroom etc), and there was an olive pit on it that I bit into. One of the mail toilets had wet toilet paper with what looked like blood on it on the floor of one of the cubicles. The playground is not at all suitable for under 4yos, so our youngest could not really play on it. The outdoor smoking area is adjacent to the playground, and the barrier is open at the top - not ideal for our asthmatic son. The prices were reasonable and the staff were very prompt and friendly, but I won't be rushing back.

Pumpernickel is a typical small "$2 Shop" establishment, with a variety of cheap imported goods such as cables, cards, kitchenware, giftware etc. WHen I've shopped there they have usually had what I wanted and at a good price. It's a bit cramped, but not usually very busy, and check out is quick.

This review is for Pizza Deluxe, Caroline Springs VIC

I have only ordered Pizza on two occasions from Pizza Deluxe. I found the pizza to be a bit dry due to lack of tomato sauce on the base. The toppings were sufficient in amount, but fell of the crust, I assume due to lack of cheese to glue it together. Their website claims they are "well poised for International expansion" but I feel they need to improve quality first, especially with all the competition in the area. The last time I rang up they had no delivery special (eg. 2 pizzas, coke and garlic bread) so I hung up and ordered elsewhere.

The pizza does have a unique base, and is tasty enough. The store is a little grubby looking, and there is often an employee/owner man sitting outside smoking which is a bit of a turn off. The cashier often has a frown, but the delivery guy is always happy and friendly. It's easy to park near and service is quick.

This bakery provides the typical range of bread and pastry products. The rye bread and Turkish bread are highlights. Lots of specials on the bench of near-end of life items.

We used Delfin to sell our house recently and were very happy with the service. Their commission was low, and I felt looked after. The agent was a good communicator and they found a buyer in a short time.

This review is for Cocochine, Caroline Springs VIC

verified email - 17 Apr 2008

Cocochine is typical "Aussie Chinese" food. I only had takeaway, not dine in, and the food was tasty and filling. It's a bit annoying not having close parking, and the waiting time was relatively high, but I would still go back there when the urge for fried rice hit me again.

This review is for Panic Pizza, Deer Park VIC

Panic pizza have a good system where the computer stores all your details, you only have to give them your phone number. The pizza is typical takeaway pizza, not horrible, but not great. The pick-up deals are good value, but home delivery is quite expensive and takes a long time, 45 minutes or more usually.

This review is for Amal Mechanical Services, Deer Park VIC

We first started taking our car to Amal 10 years ago when there was nothing else near Caroline Springs. We were very happy with the service, they always make an effort to find the best value solution for your repair, and they keep you up to date on the phone.

This review is for J.Ps Pizza, Deer Park VIC

verified email - 17 Apr 2008

I tried J.Ps pizza even though it wasn't that close to me as I was searching for decent home delivered pizza. The pizza was overall good with good base, but the toppings were a bit dry and not enough sauce. The serving size was generous, and good value, and the shopowner was very friendly.
