I went to the new pop up Fifi La Femme cafe in Charlestown recently. The atmosphere and decor was absolutely adorable and very feminine! Although it is very small there is a little dine in area to the side with some magazines to read and I think it's worth dining in there for the atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino and one of the very yummy macaroons, which they have in so many flavours that it is hard to choose! When they brought out my order the coffee was served with a little pink heart marshmellow on the side and I noticed that other people drinking tea had theirs served with a little pink charm on the tea infuser so everything had a very cute touch. My cappuccino was well made and the staff were very friendly too, I especially like the 1950's style outfits they wear!

I had lunch here recently and ordered a vegetarian dish which had asparagus fritters and some grilled vegetables with a beetroot reduction sauce, which sounded quite unusual so I thought I would try it. It was very tasty and the beetroot sauce was really sweet and delicious it's my new favourite type of sauce now! The serving size was a little small, it could have done with a little side salad or chips, but it was very well presented like a dish at a fine dining restaurant. The spot was really nice and peaceful by the river and they had some good magazines on hand for me to read while I was waiting. However it did take a fair while to be served initially, the food itself didn't take long to come out. The waitress was quite friendly.

I went here for a late lunch on a weekend recently with my daughter and some friends, with there kids. I ordered a vegetarian salad with pistachio nuts and my husband ordered a fish and chips dish, which turned out to be a whole entire large fish when it was served! He thought the fish was really tasty and it seemed to be lightly battered, and I absolutely loved my salad which was also of a reasonable sized serving. The wine list had a good amount of variety and the staff recommended a chardonnay which was quite nice. The best things about this place was that they were very family friendly and had a lady doing free face painting for the kids, and the atmosphere was great and we could sit out on a back deck area which actually goes out over the water so the water is beneath you, so it was defiantly a waterfront view!

I had lunch here recently and I wanted a gluten free and low sugar option vegetarian option as I am on a very strict diet at the moment. I spoke with the waitress at length trying to find out if any of the things on the menu which I liked could be made gluten free or using gluten free bread for the sandwiches and melts, but apparently this wasn't possible which was disappointing. In the end I opted for just a vegetarian wrap which was supposed to have roasted vegetables. The wrap was quite bland really, lots of lettuce and I couldn't taste any kind of sauce or pesto or anything like that and it didn't seem to have much roasted vegetables, just a few pieces of capsicum. A little boring but at least the service was friendly and my food came out quickly, they also made a good coffee for me and the lunch prices are quite cheap. I would have really liked to have seem more variety and special diet options though.

I went here for breakfast recently for the first time with a friend who recommended it. I was really impressed with the variety of food and drink options for people on strict diets like me, or with food intolerance's. I could get coffee made with almond or coconut milk, instead of just the typical soy offered at most cafes. My coconut milk cappuccino made with natural sweetener was really rich tasting and lovely. My friend and I both ordered the same dish which was a mushroom based breakfast with some added herbs and greens, and the sauce or drizzle which was some kind of pesto I think was absolutely delicious and the herbs made the mushrooms really tasty. Everything felt really healthy and nourishing to eat. The price was reasonable, only about the same as I have paid at other non-organic cafes however at least the food is high quality here. The staff were helpful with making suggestions and the food was served quickly, overall it was a great place and the attached store is handy too.

This is a very fun place with a friendly and very casual atmosphere. The drinks are cheaply priced but quite basic, there isn't much wine variety available or premium drink brands. However there are lots of social events held here quite often and themes nights and things like that, which are good fun. Some events have cover charges but these are generally quite low anyway. As for the food it has always been generous sized portions and filling and tasty enough at really low prices. I like the vegetarian options the best and typically just ordered wedges. There is ready made food available too if you just want to drop in for a quick bite and don't want to wait, which is handy. The only downside was that sometimes the bathrooms weren't all that clean.

I have had lunch and coffee here quite a few times over the years, and I have always found the food to be of decent quality and the prices are reasonable, however the made to order items tend to be better value and bigger portions than the ready made things such as pizza by the slice. They make an excellent coffee, always hot enough and creamy and never burnt tasting. The pizza and pasta dishes are my favourites, however they always have a good variety of options to choose from and daily specials on the chalkboards. It is in a very handy spot too, pretty central to any place in within the uni.

This is a fun little place, the atmosphere is always lively and there are often special events like trivia and competitions and things like that of an afternoon or evening, and sometimes through the day as well. They have a TV screen playing music videos clips up on the wall most of the time as well, so it was good to see a bar with some music! The drinks and food are both quite cheap, but in both categories the trade off is that there isn't much variety to choose from and don't expect to find any top shelf wines or much of a wine list here! However the food is of decent quality, I have had a few lunches here and they serve up some filling and tasty burgers and I also like the wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli. The portion sizes are quite decent too. The only drawbacks to this place is that it shuts quite early of a night, around 6 or 7 pm most nights so its probably a better place for lunch than for tea, and the venue is very tiny.

I had lunch here with my mum recently. They had quite a wide selection of dine in and take away options. We both ordered the same thing, which was really tasty. It was a foccacia which you could also get as a wrap, and there was chicken and sweet chilli and cheese and nuts and salad inside. I think it also came with a side of chips, in any case it was a really generous sized portion and very satisfying. I was also impressed with the friendly service and how quick they were to bring our meals out even though they were quite busy that day. I also noticed there were a few good combination deals available like coffee and main meal specials. The prices were really reasonable too, so overall this place was a really good find!

I went here a few times to get eyelash extensions done. The end result looked really good, they had some very dark coloured and thick textured eyelashes available so I was able to get quite a dramatic effect, which was good. They came up looking relatively natural though, and they did a good job of separating the lashes so they weren't clumped together. The lashes didn't last quite as long as I had hoped between refills and retouches though, as mine were very long so the weight seemed to make individual lashes fall out a bit more often, although I guess this would be the case with all eyelash extensions. The glue irritated my eyes quite a bit, but didn't cause any damage. The service was really good, the lady who I saw was very professional and was able to be relatively quick putting on my lashes. They were also able to offer more flexible appointment times as they are open decent hours and later one night a week, so I could get appointments around work. Overall it was a good place and I liked the results.
