Often you assosiate hospital food with being less desirable but the meals offered from the cafe on frankland as far from that. They offer a variety of selections all available with veggies of that day or chips. Meals are affordable and you can select your meal from hot meals, salad bar.
The meals are affordable and offer a generous variety of options but alot of the options have been sitting under heat lamps and aren't amazingly fresh.
The tables arent always cleared promptly during peak periods so it is likely you will need to clear your own spot
This store is full of beautiful giftware and cards for every ocassion and personality, the store is not easy to get around if you have a pram. Some items are a little on the expensive side. The staff are always a pleasure to deal with and they are more than happy to assist with any enquiry
I love how the food is always cooked fresh to order, whether it be dine in or take way. I personally love their homemade dim Sims, I cannot go to the canton and leave without eating at least one. The menu seems to cater for almost all preferences, like all Chinese restaurants in and around Launceston it is the better part of $20 for a meal before you pay for fried rice
Approximate cost: $18
I have only ever made purchases of an evening during peak times where they seem to employ a lot of junior staff members, they are always friendly and helpful but they are also very slow at working their way through the line of customers.
I love that they not only offer chicken as the name suggests but pork and on occasions other roasted meats. They have a variety of cold salads, along with freshly cooked hot chips. Meals are affordable and from my experience more than enough to keep you satisfied
There is plenty of free parking outside the store, The have a large variety of cold salads (seafood, pasta, potato etc) along with hot side dishes. I love the smoky flavour the chicken gets from roasting over the coals. The meals aren't cheap, nor are the expensive and they are rather filling. I personally love the garlic potato bake, this is often my sister in laws first stop in Tasmania as she loves the potato bake.
There is plenty of free parking outside the store, they now offer eftpos which had previously been a deterrence for us. This is a fantastic, well maintained outdoor public pool area. The toddler area is well enclosed and monitored, Staff are always visable and patrolling all pool areas. They have an impressive waterslide which has kids of all ages excited. Plenty of grass area to sit.
This is definately Launceston's biggest indoor play area, how ever as it is bigger and in theory Better is does attract a lot more patrons. Unfortunately I dont find it policed enough by staff and parents to prohibit older children from wrecklessly playing in the toddler area. I was also disappointed when staff were informed that there was a wet stubstance in the ball pit and the staff memeber came out with a couple of pieces of paper towel and spray and wipe.
This is a great place to take the kids to burn off some energy and enjoy themselves regardless of the weather. They do fantastic themed birthday parties that have always been a big hit with the kids and parents. Now that they offer a family year pass it is even more affordable
