The last time I was in I purchased a near new Onkaparinka blanket for $14.00. Sheets and Quilts average about 4-5 each. They have a much better variety and cheaper than other shops that are in this category.

I love these old fashioned breads and cakes. They make a wicked Caraway & Rye loaf. They use old style recipes, and the service is typically friendly. Approximate cost of great rye bread is cheaper than supermarket. In town they sell great take away sandwiches and pies.

Care for pets is excellent. The vet identified the problem with my cat and took tests which confirmed diagnosis. All the staff are reliable and do their utmost to help. The cost could be a little lower but I still use them as they have kept pussy well for 14 years.

Approximate cost: $60-100

Helen is the active partner and is the person you see as you walk in the door. Non nonsense service, a good price and she is backed by years of experience. Excellent conveyancer and has great contacts for other legal services too. Tell her Anji sent you.

This dentist saved me. I don't like dentists and my abscess was pretty bad. He gave me lots of options but respected my choice to extract. He took 20 minutes and I was in very little pain after. I thoroughly recommend this man. He takes x rays and makes absolutely sure he knows what he is doing.

This shop stocks books that are hard to find and usually has a great selection. Owner is a published author and is always happy to help provide advice or assistance. Books stacked to the ceiling. Not a large shop so be prepared to share your space with other enthusiasts.

Approximate cost: $7-10 per book

They have a great range of baked goods but more Rye products that are low on salt and wheat may be nice. Customer service is always excellent and the tarts are "to die for". One of the better bakeries in Hobart itself.
