Has just reopened as a Travellers Inn and the interior is very nice but I sat with my back to the stag head on the wall. There is a general dining area and a bar type of area.
We did not book but arrived before 6pm and there were reserved signs on many tables.
Started with the entree share platter for 2 and was very happy with the quality and presentation. Included pork belly, salt and pepper squid, octopus, saganaki, potato cake things amongst other dishes and was very tasty.
For mains I had an entree size of the gnocchi with pork and veal ragout which was delicious and my husband had fish and chips which seemed ok.
Dessert didnt have many choices and the chocolate pudding was a bit dry but the sauce and ice cream was lovely. Next time will have the cheese platter !
Disappointed that they didn't have Sprite or Coke Zero so I just had water and husband had beer.
The chairs are a bit uncomfortable but there are also booths with padded seats.
Service was ok, table service for drinks and food altho a few people went to the bar and got their own drinks.
All in all, a nice dining experience and a welcome addition to dining options in Sale.

Approximate cost: $25 (total $100)

Have eaten here quite a few times, always very nice and seems special.
This time, (8/5/12), went for dinner and was not disappointed. We had 3 courses each, plus drinks.
Scallops and Peking duck for entrees, the pancakes for the duck were a bit tough but still a very nice entree, husband said the scallops were lovely.
For mains I had the chicken which was great and husband had veal which was also very good.
Don't like the vegetables they provide which are just a bowl of steamed carrots, cauliflower etc but salad is not an option.
You can get chips as an extra but the food is always enough for us.
For dessert husband got a chocolate torte from the cake cabinet and I had the BEST strawberry sundae EVER.
It ranks up amongst the best desserts I have ever had and was delicious. (strawberries over strawberry sorbet, with persian fairy floss, ohhhh yummmmm)
Husband had light beer, I had soft drink.
Entree about $16 each, mains $30, desserts $12.50.
A nice meal, service very good, also has lunch specials for $20 but have never tried them.

Approximate cost: $30

Have had my hair coloured and cut here several times and always found it to be a good salon which listens to your needs and fulfills them.
I love the massage chairs which they have you in while you have your hair washed and the staff are friendly and cheerful.
I had my hair done for my wedding here and loved the way it looked.
Recently got an email from them reminding me that it was time to come back.
They always offer a coffee or tea and cold water.
They are reasonably priced I believe but as I don't go to other salons, not a good judge !
They do have 3 separate pricing methods depending on the level of experience of the stylist.
They also sell a range of hair products.

Approximate cost: $50 +

Well stocked and supplied supermarket which has weekly specials and market day specials.
If they haven't got a specific item you want they will often get it in for you.
Prices are usually pretty good and they almost always have ham or some other sliced meat on special for much less than other supermarkets in town.
Generous mark downs on items near use by date, often trolleys full of items at greatly reduced prices with time still left on them.
Wide range of brands of all items.
Great community benefits scheme in that you specify the organization to receive funds and they get a % of the total you spend. Using the same card, often get special prices on some items.
Friendly, helpful staff.
If people are waiting for checkout they will open more.
Also has a good liquor department which will price match with other local advertised specials.
All in all, a good place to do your weekly shop.

Often has good specials on items, limited number and once they are gone no rain checks etc.
The product types are limited and has a lot of their own brand things but they are usually quite cheap.
Sells a wide range of supermarket items but not all are carried, eg. doesn't carry firelighters, denture tablets etc but has their own brand of many things.
Sometimes has specials of branded things, eg. Kraft dip, Vegemite but mainly has their own brands of things.
Good variety of fresh fruit and vegetables which are often very cheap but good quality.
Don't sell any free range meats and seem to get from one supplier.
Go there before doing your supermarket shop and get the things they have at a good price.
They don't pack for you and have no baskets so you need your own bags and because they are very quick on the checkouts, its hard to watch for overpricing/ poor scanning.
I haven't found any mistakes but not sure if that's because none have been made or because I don't pay as much attention as at other stores due to the queue and the percieved hurry.

This shop and service is exceptional in all ways. Cindy is committed to animal care and provides a range of delicious treats for dogs as well as anything else you could possibly imagine for them.
Our two dogs love going to the shop and Cindy welcomes them inside. She is able to source anything you ask for and cooks a mean dog biscuit.
They make kennels, beds, scratching posts for cats, collars, leads etc etc ETC !!!
They have recently expanded to a small shop at the Cobb and Co market.
The main shop has a wide range of items including wet and dry food.
If she hasn't got it, Cindy will get it in at a reasonable price and the quality is great.

Busy restaurant with good food. Service is average but staff are very friendly and cheerful.
Prices average, usual range of take away and dine in meals.
Banquets are good value for money.
Salt and pepper squid is too oily for our liking as we don't think the cook heats the oil enough before putting the squid in.
Good place to go for take away but the ambiance for in house dining leaves a bit to be desired.
Toilets are clean and easy to get to.
Overall a pleasant place to eat a meal but not to linger. (the restaurant, not the toilets.....)
