We loved the zoo - its lovely having no fences between the animals and ourselves. We did the early morning tour and it was well worth it! The 2 day entry is a great idea, but we managed to spring around the last part of the zoo and see everything in one day. If you have kids, it would probably take the whole two days =) We were wimps and drove, but I stayed for ages just watching the animals, it was great!

We visited the winery and stayed at the accommodation - both the outback cellar and boora cottage. Outback cellar has great minimalist style, very different! The cottage was wonderfully cosy, and so quaint and cute! Lovely log fires for winter! We loved our stay and had wine tasting on the final day and bought a couple of bottles -the winery is more of a hobby than a business.

It was a lovely little cottage on a property. We were quite close to the main house but the view was out over paddocks. The house looked a bit rough round the edges (unfinished renovations), but nothing major and generally everything was very nice.

We had our wedding there - fantastic venue!! We were given a voucher to dine at the restaurant, so tried it out. The atmosphere was lovely, we were given our own private room (I think we were the only diners that evening), and the service was fine. The menu is very very expensive, but unfortunately, the servings were quite small and the quality definitely not worth the cost. Thank goodness we had a voucher. It's a great place to go for a coffee. On another occassion we did the hot air balloon ride and brekky, and brekky was great!!

We had a red duck curry and a massaman beef curry. Both were very nice. The mixed entrees were delicious as well! It was a nice meal, rather pricey but Thai usually is, but the historic surroundings and the fact that we got to sit by the window was nice. The service was very polite and friendly, I only gave it 3 stars only because when we walked in, it took a while to get anybody's attention, and the lady had to walk outside tocheck the board to figure out what was on special that day. Admittedly, it was about 1pm on a weekday so they were't expecting many customers. Not a bad place if you're in the area and trying to decide where to eat...

We couldn't believe what a beautiful house it was! For less than $1000 for the week. It had full linen, and was spotless, modern, clean, with fantastic views. It's a 2 minute walk to water - although it's pretty far into the bay so not the best swimming area - we had dips anyway and it was peaceful, relaxing and lovely! Great family holiday home!!!!

We Stayed in the Doll's Houses - which were the cheapest. They were not fancy, but were so cute it was a little adventure! The camp kitchen was great! We loved Bruny Island itself, it was gorgeous, and picking blackberries and mixing them with cream was a wonderful treat!! Ducks came to visit our cabin during the day which was lovely as well =)

This is an amazing place! The cottages are awesome with wraparound decks and huge glass doors. We've been there twice now. Once as a couple and just chilled out, watching the birds and lace monitors, reading in the hammock, watching TV... and the other time with extended family + young kids. It worked fine withthat many ppl, and kayak hire is at a very reasonable rate. Spent a lovely day kayaking nearby. The place is about 10mins from Bulahdelah by an unsealed road, but there's a big games room, a pool and a kitchen (with lots of essentials) for your convenience. Rather pricey but perfect for a relaxing peaceful holiday! Highly recommended.

This is one of those eco cottage type places in a bush setting - great for our first anniversary! We had little finches visiting all the time, huge glass doors to a deck outside, lovely big bath, it was very relaxing and private! The place is rather pricey, so perfect for a special occasion =)

The pork empanadas are to die for!!! I've had their spanish omelette as well and that was fantastic. The owner and his wife (?) are so friendly and accommodating - it looks like a little cafe but they treated us like we were in a restaurant. The empanadas in particular do take awhile to come out, but are worth the wait! Don't miss the churros either! Highly reocmmedn this place!!
