Been here a couple of times, once for a work function and another out with friends. The tapas type lunch menu we had was really tasty. A good selection of food. The pizzas were also quite nice.
I also went another time and ordered the tandoori pizza, but there wasn't much topping and too much dough.
So a bit of a mixed experience, but i would go again. A great place to catch up with friends.

Had heard really great things about this place before visiting, but didn't live up to the hype. Went for lunch during the week and sat inside. It was really nice and cosy in there and a good place to people watch. I ordered from the all day breakfast menu - Gus' special omelette. There wasn't anything special about it, very bland and not much filling. Dissapointed.

Went on a weekday and had the BBQ grill plate. The lady who served us was very lovely and helped us to cook our meat at the table. They also had a photo album so you can see the food before you order. The dishes had some good flavours and the meat was of pretty good quality. The prices were average for Canberra.

Great local hairdresser. Went in for a quick trim a few weeks ago. The girls in there are lovely and take the time to listen to what you want. Easy to get an appointment.

Their hot chocolates are dreamy, but their coffees aren't the best around. The service tends to be mixed, have had some great service and also some pretty mediocre service. The breakfasts and lunches are good, portion sizes are also quite generous. With the exception of their coffee, this cafe could really hold its own with those in Sydney and Melbourne. Don't bother with their cakes though. They're usually dry, not the best quality and overpriced. In summer they had some nice jazz playing outside where you could sit and have wine with friends.

A fantastic little cafe tucked between all the concrete buildings on Farrell Place. It's hard to find if you're not familiar with it, but if you're after great quality food, you have to go there. Their sandwhiches are amazing - try the turkey and cranberry or chicken tandoori - real gourmet stuff. The owner is also very sweet and greets you like family. A great place to go for lunch or to meet with friends for coffee.

This review is for Sammy's Kitchen, Canberra ACT

Food was disappointing and bland and did not really reflect the true flavors or style of real Chinese or Malaysian cuisine. The dishes I found to be quite oily and the food could have been more fresh. I found that the restaurant itself to be very cramped (as in they squeeze as many people as possible into every nook and cranny). The service was also all over the place. We were served after two tables that arrived after us. If you do go to Sammy's make sure you don't sit anywhere near the door on the left hand side, as you'll keep getting knocked about by people passing in and out to collect their takeaways, and by the wait staff.

While I didn't get blown over by the food or service, I found their dishes to be ok and the price was pretty good for what we got. This place is nothing special, the flavours are pretty stock standard, there is nothing edgy about the type of Thai food that they serve. The decor is very plain, reminds me of a cafeteria, with no really ambience. If you want standard Thai food that doesn't deliver any suprises, then this place is ok.

Had a great meal at Vasco's. The portion sizes are generous, the food is fresh and the taste is very authentic. They use very good quality meats and seafood, the service is very attentive. The restaurant itself is very cosy and inviting.

This review is for Cream Cafe And Bar, Canberra ACT

I have no idea what the hype is about Cream. I think that it's one of those places that people like to be seen in, rather than going there for the food or service. The food itself did not taste fresh, the meat was overcooked, food presentation was very poor. I went there in a group of four. I had a risotto dish that looked like leftovers slapped on the plate. The taste of the food is also below par. The flavours are just nothing special and for the prices, you would expect that the dishes are better. The staff are very young and quick with their service when they eventually notice you. Most of them seem to be too busy flirting with one another and looking cool to really care about their customers (at least that is what I thought). Don't come here if you love your food and want a good quality meal.
