This is a lovely old pub, owned by the brother of the late Johnny Warren (Socceroo). In fact the dining room had an exhibit of stacks of Johnny Warren memorabilia.
Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes for our meal (I only ordered a plate of Nachos). The family at the table next to us apparently waited 1 1/2 hours ! When I asked if they had some critical staff shortage, the staff member said no, but simply that everyone came at once. Hmmm, I'll let you folks be the judge on that one.

The staff were very friendly here and the meals very nice (made a great mocha coffee at the end). The setting and atmosphere are very nice too. We were able to sit outside and watch the sunset over the nearby beach and estuary. The restaurant is licenced and apparently they were awarded Best Cafe Restaurant Regional NSW in 2005.

Came here on New Year's Eve with my wife and our table was waited on by one of the owners - Patricia. This person needs to lighten up. Perhaps a few lessons on cracking a smile might help. Sure, NYE can be busy and it was, but judging by the numbers in the restaurant, I couldn't say it was busier than a Sat night. Apparently she did have two new junior staff, but if you can't be friendly and relaxed with your customer then maybe one shouldn't be in the restaurant game. Am I being unfair? All I know is that we were both happy to leave the restaurant at the end of our meal and almost got the feeling that the manager was happy to see another empty table. Sorry lovely location, but we didn't have a good experience here.

This is a place I would definitely go back to - such lovely service, warmth and hospitality from Christine and Ian (the owners). You really feel like you're staying in someone's home and not just some travel accommodation. They have a small refrigerator in the guest living room with complimentary wine and port, as well as the regular tea and coffee making facilities. The oven baked bacon and eggs that Christine cooks up are just divine.

This is definitely not a child friendly place and the staff and management need to seriously consider what they consider good customer relations. The day we visited their gas was inoperative and a number of dishes (fried food)were unavailable from the menu. My friends bought some chips from a nearby store for their child and the security guards followed by the manager proceeded to give us hell, even though we had all ordered main meals. Given that their chips on the menu was unavailable and there was nothing else for kids, we found their attitude to be rather inflexible. At the end they allowed us to keep the chips providing we put them into one of their bowls. They could have suggested this at the beginning instead of creating such a hoo-ha. Needless to say, we didn't order our desserts and coffee from there.

Food is great! You'll find traditional things like the Irish stew, but mainly lots of dishes that are new and innovative. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and charming. The owner Eileen, is lovely and makes the patrons feel welcome. It's just like visiting Ireland. Make sure you try the Baileys Irish Cream cheesecake for dessert.

This is part of a chain of restaurants worldwide with over 90 restaurants, modelled on the ramen bars popular in Japan, but don't be put off by this. The food is good, reasonably priced and you don't wait very long. They also have a loyalty scheme or membership card, which allows you to accrue points each time you visit. In Sydney, they have restaurants in Darling Harbour, Galeries Victoria, Bridge St and the international airport. They cater to different dietary requirements as well and serve alcohol. Make sure you try some of the really nice drinks, such as the apple, mint and lime juice.

I met this mechanic through my wife, whose family have been coming to T&C for years. The proprietor, Chris, is an honest, reliable and cheerful chap and I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to other folks.

This has to be the best gelato bar in Sydney, if not Australia. I've tried gelato flavours here that I've never seen elsewhere, like rose-petal (yummy!).The owner Luigi De Luca is apparently the president of the Gelato Manufacturers Association of Australia and the only accredited TAFE lecturer in gelato-making.

Great coffee and I especially like the way they make the moccas. The wraps and bread rolls are very nice too. Good place to sit outside as it gets the morning sun.
