the guys have so much expertise in wines that it is mind blogging.
they have a wide range of reds, whites and sparkling and they can get any wine you desire.
they have tastings from around australia every weekend.
pricier than most places but variety makes up for it
good service, great food, and depending on the evening, music and belly dancing.
i just find that everytime i go there, i need to drink some eno afterwards because i far exceed the daily calorie count in under an hour!
awesome food!
a smorgasboard of foods. the banquet is always good value and they let you keep adding to it if you are still hungry. the meat dishes are exceptional.
they also have belly dancing on friday and saturday nights.
excellent service
my exeperiences have been up and down yet once i asked the manager who was packing grapes and leaving them in the sun if he could make the same grape packet up for my mother who was sick in hospital. not only did he refuse me, but he started to mock me to the other workers in arabic. i may not understand arabic but i understood the gist of it, especially when the shop assistant inside confirmed my worst fears. to me the fact that the shop owner could mock me in a foreign language proves that i should not shop there. i can only imagine what he says about others. i used to spend $$$ there!
cheap and yummy. isn't the largest menu but what is on there is superb. an entire family of 5 can eat there for under $40. they even have complimentary wine or softdrink with a meal. service is ok
i have never entered the store but have purchased over the phone. the owner, stuart, is very reasonable, gives discounts if you purchase over a certain amount and delivers for free (if it's over $100).
they stock all the top brands of pet food too..
george, the owner, has vast knowledge in fish. he only stocks fresh australian and new zealand fish and seafood. his shellfish always looks clear and juicy, never dry.
he will clean all fish and even fillet it if you ask. some of the fish is a bit pricey but given the quality, it's worth it. still a lot cheaper than other places.
decent bread, a bit pricey considering that there are another 2 bakeries on the same strip. cakes are OK but they do try to cater for a variety of cultures and religions. they also stock bagels and the most amazing italian fruit donuts. their breadcrumbs are worth every cent and i use them for all the recipes that require bread crumbs
she is truly amazing.. she works with children and teens and focuses on bullying and resiliency..
she helped my child overcome severe anxiety about returning to school and equipped her with the skills needed to overcome any harassment..
non judgemental and very caring
cakes are light and creamy.. they are also reasonably priced in comparison to other cake stores in the area.. they always seem to run out of the items that i love the most such as the mocha fingers..
their pies and sausage rolls are home made and delicious.. the only downside is that you have to pay for tomato sauce and given that it's meant to be an upscale bakery, it's a tad harsh to charge an extra 30 cents especially given their prices..
