Had the pleasure of going to Bistecca on a busy Sunday lunch for sister in law's birthday, with a group of 9 people. A warm greeting from the owner and great service followed throughout, all staff seemed on the ball and any small items were attended to promptly. The space itself is really cool; spacious, interesting and with a nice range of quality fittings. The lights, pared back brick walls and the dining tables were all a highlight - it was nice sitting at the long table up near the kitchen.

We shared some of the pizzas to start, straight from the woodfired oven and they were spot on (really good). Right amount of topping, nicely cooked and with a thin dough - great start. Some other items were shared including the artichokes and calamari, I didn't partake but they looked really good. For my main I had the porterhouse steak (criminal not to have a steak in a place named after it!) and it was perfectly cooked which rarely occurs these days, nicely charred on outside and medium rare inside. Small bit of fennel and potato on the side and I was very happy.

Others had steak, fish (wife loved it, oven baked snapper was fish of the day) and the pork cuts skewered. Clean plates all round! Bathroom was a bit dirty, looked like a longish stretch since a clean and the window faced the outside area where some people were smoking so it was unpleasant to be in there. Tiny bit pricey too but it was great quality so I am not going to make it an issue, great place - get there!

We could not fault Sake if we tried!

Seriously the best meal, best service, perfect ambience - Our new favourite restaurant in Sydney by a long shot.

It was our first visit to Sake for a special occasion and from the moment we stepped into the restaurant the ladies that greeted us were polite and attentive and the chefs called out to the waitress as she ushered us to our table. Service was personable, precise and not intrusive.

Each dish was tasty and unique in its own right and perfectly spaced. We could not have asked for a better night. Absolutely loved it - Worth every cent.

We will definitely be back - I recommend it to everyone!

Was here on the weekend - had: mixed platter, minced with tahini, falafel, tabouli.
Love lebanese food and the best thing from here is the Kafta and Chilli sauce rocks.

The mince with tahini was on the dry side. Overall - the mixed platter was as good. Same can be said of the felafel. I found the accompaniments a bit salty. Interestingly, after we finished, the waitress very quickly removed the lebanese bread from our table. At somewhere else customers have the option of taking this home with them.

The lighting of the place was a bit on the dark side. I was definitely not a fan of the flat screen TV on the wall. It works in some restaurants and pubs. I'm still not sure if it works here (if it had been turned on).

I suspect the ambience of the restaurant may have been improved if the lighting was brighter (to give it a more utilitarian feel) or the decor improved in line with the darker lighting.

Service was efficient and friendly, I felt value for money was better than somewhere else.

Greatest Thai resturant I have been too. Tomato rice and potatoes were greatly seasoned just like how thai food was meant to be eaten. Many resturants do not provide such an experience.

I'd definitely reccommend this place, you'd want to be hungry to eat here so you feel you've gotten more value out of your money. Also note, don't overbuy food as although this place has great food, you won't be able to eat them all ;)

Great food and wine, shame about the service!

The service was very friendly, too friendly, overly loud and friendly - and lacking any of the polish that you would expect of a restaurant that purports to be fine dining. If you are going to spend time and money on the fit-out, chefs and food, spend some money on the service.

The large dark curly hair in my desert was the final straw after swimming in water at my table as the server (not waitress, she wasn't allowed to take our orders she declared loudly) continuously missed my glass, which, according to our server, was a design fault of the jug (which, to the uninitiated, looked like a standard water jug...).

Distinguishing between the two tasting menu options as the “vegetarian, and the ‘normal' one”, did not go down well with the vegetarian at the table. Nor were we ever fully illuminated as to what was actually in the butter – after asking what the butter had been mixed with, we received the response of “God, I don't know, the chefs change it all the time, but they usually put some pretty weird stuff in it...!” Mmmm, I always fancy weird stuff in my butter.

Foodwise – it was good, the wine was well matched. We had the tasting menu and the lamb was a stand-out – truly excellent. Will I come back again? No. Do I think the service we encountered would be better off at a local café or pub? Yes. Do the owners need to invest in some well trained wait staff – absolutely

I attended Nostos Greek Restaurant last night. We were a table of ten. That meant we had to get the banquet. I don't like banquets usually, you don't know what you're getting, amounts etc.

This time I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and arrived at good intervals.

As with most Greek restaurants the Lamb was so tender. The meatballs(pic), calamari, dips, mushrooms, vine leaves, beans & salads were great also! The live band was really good, playing a mixture of Greek music. Some of the staff danced also. It was a tad loud though.

The desserts were extensive and numerous. I hate desserts being shoved in your face. But they were so good I couldn't complain.

I left surprisingly satisfied. The staff were nice and made my night pleasant. I recommend this restaurant for loud groups when the live music is playing.

Thank you Nostos:)

Nothing too special about this place. The menu pictures were pretty misleading, they don't look anything like what you're actually going to be served. Regardless, the food was decent. I ordered the Tuna Tataki salad and my friend ordered the Chicken Katsu.

What a great restaurant and who would have thought in the middle of Campsie!?! You must try the California roll as it is devine! We also tried the Chap Che (potato noodle), teriyaki chicken, tempura prawns and some kind of tempura tofu... All were delish!! We ended the meal with a tempura ice cream dessert and I was tempted to order seconds. Prenentation of all the dishes were beautiful and would be only found in some of the trendiest restaurants in Sydney. Sushi Nine was a pleasant surprise and somewhere I'll be going back to soon!

Thai food that doesn't really compare to some of the competition within a ten minute drive or available for home delivery to locals. However, it could be a whole lot worse. Restaurant ambience and customer service is good.

I have seen much weaker Thai resturants so this can be considered very good.

Quality: Absolutely stunning quality, food here is one of the best from any resturant I have been too. Vietnamese food is a specialty and deserves much more customers.

Service: Service is great! Although not the very best but still offers a warm welcome to their customers which I find very respectable.

Value: Great Food for a small price! Attracting customers with word-of-mouth advertisements!

Overall: Impressive resturant! I have not seen a better vietnamese based resuturant in a long time!

Approximate cost: $19

While the experience of this Cafe was very relaxing and the service was amazing, the value of the service and even each piece of food was seemingly much more expensieve than what you would normally find in a decent cafe.

I believe that with cheaper deals, better values and food, this place would exponetially increase in sales and with word of mouth, this business has great potential to become a revolutionary cafe.
