My husband and I hired Leonie for our first daughter after she wasn't putting on the weight she needed to and during a time when I was having extreme pain during breast feeding (2 weeks old). Leonie came out to our home the same day I rang her and spent two hours with us. Her fees for that two hours was $140 ($70/hr). When she left I felt like an angel had just been to visit me. I was struggling a lot at that time both physically and mentally. I was determined to breast feed but with the extreme pain I was having I didn't know how I could persevere. She diagnosed me with a medical condition called vaso constriction which explained the extreme pain, latching issues, and nipple damage due to delayed milk supply, and a continued low milk supply.... but with all those issues stacked against me she still got me on the road to recovery. After that initial visit she continued to keep in contact. First daily, then every other day, then a couple times a week, then once a week, then once every fortnight, then once a month.... for six months she continued to keep monitoring my progress. I'd often be on the phone with her for 10-15 minutes a call, and all of that time was included in the two hours she spent on that first day. If that's not value for your money nothing is. Not that you can put a price tag on the mental health that resulted in her helping me. Now, twelve months later and my daughter and I are still successfully breast feeding. Through clogged ducts, a bout of mastitis, and continued vaso constriction issues I have been able to do this only through the help of Leonie. I can't thank her enough or recommend her highly enough. When we have our second baby should we have difficulties again she will be the first phone call I make.
