I put my boots in for repair at the beginning of the month and was given a card which said pick up date would be Friday the 20th. That was a long time but I was told it was very busy so I agreed. Then to my surprise I was asked to pay up front. Usually I pay for repairs on pick up, just as you would with a car or other service. He said he would text me when they were ready. I now feel that due to having already paid there is no impetus to get my job done in a timely manner. On around the 25th I had not received the promised text message so I went to see if my boots were ready and they hand't even been started. In fact they weren't at the shop. An employee seemed to know where my boots were and I was promised they would make a start on them. I went back again a few days later just to show my face and see if the boots were at the shop. They were in a tub on the bench so I asked about them and said I was going away and would like to take them. I was again promised they would be ready on Friday however I never got a text
saying they were ready. After going away for a couple of days I finally got some time during business hours to go back again, this time with the intention of getting my money back and taking my shoe repairs to someone else. Unfortunately when I got there one boot was on the floor with clamps on and the other on the bench. My boot on the floor actually looked like it had been tossed in the corner. When I pointed it out he looked a bit concerned and quickly picked it up taking off the clamps. He said he would
have the boots ready by tomorrow, which is today. Still no text message, it's been about 6 weeks now.
