Should be a good place to meet up for a drink after work, but the room acoustics and aussie rock style music makes it a bit loud. Good atmosphere though - beats those posh bars now all over Melbourne for a more casual experience
I've had mixed experiences at this shop - sometimes the service was personal and attentive. Other times I was treated as a hassle. It was a big disappointment when I ordered a hire bike delivered to my work the day before a big race, and the bike did not turn up.
Approximate cost: $80 for one day mountain bike hire
Finally, a real Mexican restaurant has arrived. Although as usual, the prices - for what is essentially a mix of cheap ingredients - are high. Despite this, it's refreshing to go to a restaurant in Melbourne that offers a contemporary twist on classic Mexican.
Approximate cost: $25
Large supermarket with lots of choice. However it feels a bit unclean and staff seem to wander around not doing much. Handy carpark with free 1.5 hours parking. Central location good for locals. Bottle shop with average selection is adjacent to the supermarket
Bright clean supermarket with wide range of choice. Conveniently located in central St Kilda, it offers relatively cheap groceries. Store lay-out is fairly easy to navigate and car park right next door is handy, and first hour is free with $30 Coles spend
Great customer service. The real estate agents are approachable, organised and professional. My agent represented me well and listened to my needs and negotiations. Calls were returned quickly. Definitely one of the better property agents.
Great one-stop shop for magazines, papers, post pick-up, dry-cleaning, etc. Value for money. However service is below-average - it feels like the staff don't want to be there and everything is a hassle. I still do my dry-cleaning there because it is cheap and easy.
Approximate cost: $16 for three items - drycleaning
A sister of the restaurant with same name in Fitzroy St. The food is great -fresh ingredients and delicious spices - but the ambience of the restaurant is not flash, like a hall. But for quality Thai food, this place is great.
Approximate cost: $18
One of my favourite Thai restaurants in Melbourne. They use fresh ingredients and really tasty combinations of spices. The red curry is fantastic. Great for eat-in and take-away, and quite competitive in price
Approximate cost: $18
Great little bar in a laneway - in true Melbourne style - but in St Kilda! Well decorated. Has limited wine list, but somehow the selection is just right - something for everyone. Comfy big lounge-style seats, some of them throne-like. Great funky place with fun ambience. Perfect meeting place before going to George Cinema
