I love this pizzeria, starting from the name! The decor and the atmosphere are great. The menus are clipped to pieces cardboard cut out from wine boxes. It tends to be a bit noisy when it's very busy and the music at times is a bit loud so I probably wouldn't recommend it for a romantic dinner. The pizzas are very good and my understanding is that most of the ingredients are organic. The staff is excellent and the owner is quite a character and very friendly.

This review is for French Centre, Sydney NSW

I'm studying French at the French Centre and I love it. Prior to joining the French Centre I took three private lessons. The teacher was lovely but the lessons weren't structured very well. The material consisted of sheets photocopied from different textbooks and I could tell that the teacher's knowledge of grammar wasn't up to scratch. Also we would spend half the time chatting about things in general which was nice but not conducive to learning French, so I enrolled in a course at the French Centre. I learnt more in one lesson than I had in the three private lessons I had taken before. The courses are well structured, the material and the cds are excellent. The class is pacy and there's lots of speaking and pronunciation practice. I like the fact that you can attend on a different night if you can't attend your regular class. The price is competitive. The teachers, students and atmosphere at the Centre are lovely. I'm really enjoying it so thumbs up from me!

Oscar and Friends in Double Bay is the loveliest of bookshops. It's not very big, yet well stocked, cosy and bright. The children's section is excellent. All the recent releases are well displayed and the staff is wonderful. A true gem!!!

I love gelato!!! I've had gelato all over the world and in many places in Italy and France but I think that the gelato at the French Riviera is truly exceptional. The flavours are simple - no basil, spinach or octopus flavours (I had the latter one in Japan)!!! The gelato itself is not "glossy" as it so often seems to be everywhere else, and you can tell that it's freshly made. My favourite is "la poire", the pear. It's delicate and refreshing, and delicious! The owners, Julie and Jean-paul are very very friendly and, if you know some French, you can practise your French with them!!!
Miam, miam!

This review is for Dish, Double Bay NSW

Dish is a pizzeria-cum-restaurant in Double Bay which gives onto a small square where you can dine al fresco: truly lovely on a warm summer evening. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, the service and prices are very good, the pizza and gelato are excellent, and it's great for families because the kids all end up playing together in the little square and it's safe and easy to keep an eye on them.
